Microfish_1: 2 or 3 of these 8 are scum (or neutral), what is so bad about starting out by looking for 1 (or more) scum in each group? You focus differently on those you know than on complete unknowns. That is basically what I meant by that list/grouping.
Newbie Tip:
While sorting people by groups according to whether you've played with them is a natural sort order (and I have no issue with it), you need to be very wary of sorting people into groups by whether you've played with them and then (as a follow-up step) assuming scum is distributed among those same groups.
You might well be correct that each group has at least one scum, but only by luck.
Microfish_1: 2a) I never said Pooka voted on you.
Okay, this is
technically true; you said "Scum!Book says 'Pooka's main suspect is Yog, but he voted me at the last. This is bad.'"
From this, I would infer one of four things:
1) You thought Pooka voted for me.
2) You
didn't think Pooka voted for me, but you thought that I thought Pooka voted for me. (The incompetance this implies on my part would make me sad.)
3) You were throwing shade at me.
4) ...?
Which is the case?
Microfish_1: I intrepreted this as "I want you to flip your vote from Book to Blot." I did, and felt a bit betrayed (not to say weirded-out) when you didn't vote for Blot. It seems like you were pushing me to do your dirty work for you.
Ah. I see how you were interpreting "flip" now. I was using the mafia specific meaning of "flip", where the mod reveals your alignment because you are dead.
Microfish_1: 2c) You are miss-representing me. At the time I did not say that "every role was available for anyone to take," I said, "
I think it obvious that with 17 PRs spread among 10 players, most everyone has a PR"--not all, but most players.
'Every role was available for anyone to take" was in reference to you saying things like "If the Rolecop is scum, yikes. I don't know if such a thing is possible" (Post 342) and "I did not think that rolecop could be scum." (Post 355).
Microfish_1: Is my logic really as faulty as you think it is? I'd be interested to talk post-game about it, I guess.
If it were only a mistake here or there (like mixing up role cop and cop) with some space in between, then I wouldn't be bothered. When they start rapidly stacking up, and you are using certain implications to push for someone's lynch (see above), then the scrunity gets more serious.
Microfish_1: If you all feel that way perhaps I should be replaced?
=====
Somewhat out of game comments:
No, absolutely not. Play it out, do your best, and try to learn for the future. Let me assure you that in prior games I've screwed up far more heavily than you have here (assuming these are indeed mistakes and not some ploy).
In relation to us, town!wyrm's job is to push for your lynch on heavy suspicion of you being scum.
Town!Micro's job is to avoid getting lynched (if town is lynching town!you, then town isn't lynching scum).
=====
On the bright(?) side, if you do flip town then we have confirmation that a Role Cop is out there. Good on you for noting your role bid alongside your vanilla claim.
Microfish_1: When i am proven town, what will your opinion of Yog be then?
You flipping town doesn't say anything about Yog's alignment. I could see him declining your lynch as town!yog or scum!yog.
Microfish_1: Town,
look to your win condition; it does not refute the possibility of a 3rd-party. Newbie tip: Be advised that the win condition is often worded in such a way that it does not deny the existance of neutrals, so it should not be used as evidence for/against the existance of neutrals.
Ooo. I'm getting prettier by the second.
dedoporno: - Wyrm is annoying me as his adamant insistence on wanting to take Micro out makes is making my brain hurt;
Most people don't seem interested in his lynch, so there isn't much point in my staying here either.
