Care to tell me what the point of me writing my response is, if the hammer is predetermined? It feels like it's just so you can all pat yourselves on the back for giving me a chance to post before you lynch me anyway.


Anyway, here it goes.

I'm quite more seriously ill than I thought (hence the doctor's appointment, tests and scans), and I won't apologise for prioritising getting well; it's, I hope understandably, a lot more important to me than partaking in this game as I'm expected to. Nor will I apologise (again) for my current state hindering me from braining all that well, or for prolonged periods of time, which in turn makes doing my reread, while trying to stay caught up, taking a lot longer than it would and I wanted (still not fully done). A reread I thought was necessary before commenting, as I was scum-reading mchack after a certain point D1, something I also said already.

As for giving mchack so much grief right before his claim - seriously? I was questioning him in an attempt to assess the meaning, and importance, of him not getting lynched D1, and I already said as much. Waking up sick on Saturday morning interfered with that, and then he just dropped the bomb, which meant I had a lot more reassessing to do.

And as if that wasn't enough, Leonard03 did more than enough to keep my spider senses tingling, just as D1, and I'd be damned if I didn't look into it, then Bookwyrm627 laid out his take on things, which led, among other things, to a pissing contest regarding whose reads are better; sorry, but quite a bit of that back and forth between mchack and him reads like that to me.



This gave me a good, but painful chuckle as it flared up my cough.

The scumdars of the mason police are in serious need of a good maintainance and recalibration, as they've been wrongly scum-reading me since D1, much to the delight of some, I suppose. And none of you stopped for a minute to consider that what may have been obvious to you because of your 24/7 chat, wasn't necessarily for any other townie.

I'm not going to claim something I'm not, so I won't claim Mason, never intended to, and I, of course, won't plead guilty.

You said that your D1 behaviour was an obvious soft-claim. Based on what reread I've managed to do so far, I'm inclined to disagree, and we can get into it post game, if you'd like. It does make your claim quite likely to be true, more so given a few things I observed Today, so I'm taking it at face value (I won't apologise, though, for scum-reading you D1, as others have done to get on your good side, I just hope you and your buddies are taking notes).
However, my reread makes a few things quite more puzzling on a couple of levels; while I can think of a possible explanation for some of them, I'm not sure it's satisfying for all and on all levels. It might, however, be that I don't brain all that well yet, so I'm quite curious to read the Mason QT post game.


I'm not particularly fond of the way you're framing this; I can tell you that your suspicions are wrong as far as myself is concerned, and I'm not sure I follow why we can't have our own opinion(s) on people, so long as they don't put a Mason at danger of getting lynched.

Is Bookwyrm627 capable of having written his exposition, as ZFR put it, as scum? I've said in the past that he's pretty good at riling and fooling people as either alignment, so I wouldn't put it past him. All things considered, I think it's more likely coming from a Bookwyrm627 with town's best interest in mind, though I wouldn't put my hand in the fire.

Would I do what he did, the way he did it? No, as, while I'm quite certain that scum have done their legwork the moment you claimed (and there's more than a bit they can discern, but we can discuss that post game too, if you'd like), the scenarios I run after D1 ended, said no Mason claiming/outing until D3, as them surviving N2 is crucial to our win.

Do I agree with adaliabooks and Bookwyrm627 going into detail what options each scum team has? I don't, and I'd rather they hadn't; I've already said that being careful about what things we discuss and how we phrase them is he prudent route. I have a few more things to say on this matter, but I'll abstain from getting into them as to not attract more discussion.

Having said that, you may want to ask yourselves if adaliabooks, Bookwyrm627 and I were scum-buddies, either all three on the same team, or any two of us on the same team, if we'd be that obvious about it. If your answer's yes, then you must think of all three of us as pretty bad mafia players, more so in a setup where the fear of exposing a Mason is a damn good cover for scum to use and hide behind. And a "yes" answer would be very disappointing on more than one level as it'd also make the mason police a trio of terrible, short-sighted readers of others.

Also, were I one of the Masons I'd be more concerned about some of those that, to various degrees, play nice and push all your right buttons; not everyone doing so is obedient (or convinced) town.

I'm town, so can't and don't have any scum-buddies. I don't know if either of the other two you want to lynch is scum; I can't say that they ping me (though I don't applaud the way they've handled some things), but I could be wrong about either of them; looks like I was wrong about you. As things stand, my vote on either adaliabooks or Bookwyrm627 would be out of self-pres, and not only for myself but town as well; the only one I'm certain of is myself.

My strongest scum-read currently is Leonard03; I know you don't like it, and you won't listen, however I'd be remiss as a town member to not ask you, and your buddies to take a look at the arguments he made against you, as well as the deflection arguments he used Yesterday, and see how they fit with what he's been doing, and how easily he dropped it all and lined up with you. Then take a look at his arguments, and the timing of them, regarding his fear of lynching a Mason, and yet being willing to risk it out of fear of things going to No-Lynch Today, and see how they're all made to hit the right buttons with you.

I've been scum-reading him since D1, when he first made that comment about remembering how you become verbose when scum, as it felt like piggybacking on what others had said earlier (I knew he wasn't in the game you were scum); he was careful enough to leave himself wiggle room, but failed my questioning, which he attempted to shrug off, but I'm pretty sure that my questioning him put him on alert.

I also stand by my reading that his vote on me Yesterday was about to see how far my wagon would go (the scum-reading part is only his excuse Today), and who would be on and off of it. I don't think I need to say more for you to connect the dots.

I can go into more detail if anyone's interested; I've been typing and deleting them for a while now, as after ZFR's comment, it looks like it doesn't really matter what I (have to) say.

So, much to your disappointment, I'm afraid, my vote is here and it has nothing to do with trying to save a scum-buddy. You could make an attempt to at least try and see what those scum-reading Leonard03 see; you yourself said he's no Mason, so no danger there, and his chances of flipping scum are not lower than anyone else's. Or you can insist on lynching one of the three of us; for all intents and purposes, you've already lynched me. No Mason lynch with me, or the other two, and that's my only consolation. But if you believe that my lynch will bring town closer to winning, you're in for a nasty surprise. Perhaps you'll then reassess your (collective?) reads, and I hope it won't be too late, though I fear that it may well be.
