As I mentioned in the signup thread, I will basically be AFK from middle of tomorrow until Thursday. That's a long and painful gap, and all I can do is apologize again and promise to do my best to post something on mobile when I have a chance. Hopefully Day phase will last longer than that so I can come back in and do more.

I intend to play the bulk of this Day phase essentially normally. I'm going to scum hunt as best I can as if we were all Vanilla players and just look for the scummiest people.

Then at some point I intend to do a nearly-complete role claim.

Yes, on Day 1. Yes, again.

Because why not, right? Why am I even here otherwise amirite?

And trent, I am 100,000% sure that it will not help Mafia.

In the meantime, I kinda just want to table the whole Lift/drealmer thing except to note that drealmer probably comes out of it a little better because people are harping on a "slip" that doesn't exist, and HSL's copious notes on the subject. If HSL is Mafia well then, fair play, but I don't get any sense of that thus far. Sorry if that's a little low-level, but I just don't want to be sucked into a drealmer black hole on Day 1.

@Hyper, my biggest concern is still drealmer at the moment (I mean how long of a walk did he take), but not far behind is Lift with gamma and cristi on my radar too.

As I said with Lift, his posts feel off like he is just saying what everyone expects him to say.
With gamma and cristi I'm mainly concerned with their lack of posting.

I am going to say it's because she is piggybacking off of others thoughts instead of coming up with her own.

Surely you meant to add docbear to list, too. Right?

Docbear is middle of the road for me at the moment.

Because she has posted a total of 7 times and in post 5 she comments on something being off between lift and drealmer but leaves it at that. Also she has yet to post whatever was lost. And she has yet to really get into the game more then poking in here and there.

@HSL I did find the discussion prior to my post interesting, but I have to agree with Wrym that I don't think there's anything in the deaths hinting at different factions. Of course, when I start speculating about setup (at least in the one and 1/4 games I've played) I tend to get into trouble.
I honestly have no idea of what to make of anyone yet.

a) That’s not really a slip, I think it’s obvious what drealmer is trying to say here and

Fifth post, and says she had some interesting points, but never says what they were. Not at any point. Never mentions it again. More technical talk, and then a filthy piece of shade where she says literally nothing, but casts shade on either or both of Lift and drealmer.

Sorry about the delay. Here's what I meant about Lift and Drealmer's exchange: it seemed contrived (almost as if they are both scum and trying to distance themselves from each other). Then Lift unvotes drealmer because he got the reaction he wanted. I'm quite confused about that, and not really sure of what to make of Lift at this point. I do venture to say that either drealmer or lift (or both) are scum. I do see Lift as being overly aggressive.

I'm glad to see Yogs is a bit more engaged, even if he did vote for me. I was probably the only person who did not react to him. Like others, I viewed him as unhelpful and basically ignored him.

I responded to Lift that sometimes as town it's hard to find something to say. Case in point. Most of my thoughts have been voiced by others, so if I say something similar, then I'm piggybacking or not having anything original to say. I'm not very good at this sort of thing (still learning actually). I also tend not to post walls of text

Am I the only person who noticed the exchange between trent and dedo? I'm referring to post 193. I find it rather curios. (Don't shoot us in the foot).

On a side note, RL has been and continues to be a real bitch. So, that does mean that it might be another 6 to 12 hours before I post again.

Excuse me, but what? You know yourself that it was a general statement. Otherwise you wouldn't have included that disclaimer in your post. But you still raise the point? You're really stretching now! That is definitely not the analytic HSL trying to be unbiased and watch everyone. That is just grasping for any point to make.

To others: this is the post he was talking about. Where I supposedly encourage flubb to vote drealmer. Read it for yourself and decide if HSL's accusation makes sense.

I think it doesn't. And I think HSL's agressiveness is atypical and he selects much weaker arguments than he used to. Asking lots of questions, yes, that was always his way. But making such ridicoulous points wasn't. To me it looks like I made myself an easy target by getting into another fight with drealmer, and scum-HSL now tries to profit from that and pulls all registers to make me todays mislynch. I don't have anything against him attacking me for the errors I make. There are plenty. But the way how he tries to twist statements is just not the HSL I know from previous games.

I would have preferred for that explanation to come from drealmer himself, but yes, that sentence can be read in a different way and you seem quite sure that he meant it in the non-incriminating way. First off - @yogsloth and @Sage103082, pretty good case on docbear1975. The things you point out had not gone unnoticed, and after dedoporno's latest prod, I was waiting to see if she'd come back and with what. It's interesting that she seems to have showed up right or shortly after you made the case (GOG's non-existing timestamps don't help here, again).

Also of notice, Lifthrasil seems to ignore it completely, even though he came on.

But that's actually rich coming from you - weren't you the one that already did it, falsely claiming that he ignored the question he was asked? Something you ignored when I pointed it out?
To use your own arguments, I guess that when you did it to paint him in a negative light, to a third player notably, it was the act of a good Samaritan so it was fine, but it's suspect that I did something similar because I didn't say anything incriminating about him. And I say "similar" because drealmer7 had already explained it in his post #174, but you jumped on the "interesting catch; may be caught in a lie in his attempt to cover his slip" anyway. My explanation, as you call it, was my own read of his statements to point out that you may be intentionally keeping that FoS on him. Did you miss that part of my explanation?

As for being quite sure he meant it in the non-incriminating way, well, as odd as it may sound to you, I just don't think that he'd be dumb enough to incriminate himself that way if he's scum, and on D1 of all Days. And it may also come as a surprise to you, but it seems that I'm not the only one who thinks that.

And now that I mentioned docbear1975, it's interesting that post #98 is your only interaction with her. A player that has been floating and has been poked for it, yet somehow never got your attention, even though you have a couple of certain pet peeves. The player that yogsloth made a pretty good case against, something that seems to be of no interest to you.

Having ISO-ed you a couple of times and noticed that post #98 is your only interaction with her; I looked for your reaction to yogsloth's vote and case, you didn't disappoint.



I did comment on his "after breakfast and a walk" bit when 7hrs had passed, and he had yet to come back. But I'm a bit puzzled as to why you bring it up again now. He made post #174 where he actually addressed both of your posts on his "slip", as well as Sage103082's one.

Did you miss that post of his? You never replied back to him or commented in any fashion, which is a bit odd since he's your #1 suspect. And now you bring up that walk bit from him again?

If you didn't miss his post, why didn't you reply to him? Does the lack of a reply mean that you don't believe him, and still think that it was a genuine scum-slip?

Regarding cristigale, I just run an ISO on her, and was quite surprised by how little she's partaken so far. I noticed something in relation to Sage103082's question about Lifthrasil finding GammaEmerald deserving of a couple of votes for lurking, but it will have to wait until tomorrow; I don't have the energy to go into it right now.



I see what HijacK pointed out, but I don't read it the way you and Lifthrasil do, never did, hence why it never looked like a slip to me, and why I see no "interesting catch" and no contradiction

The confusion and seeming contradiction stems from the placement of the word "again" at the very end of the question: which in turn has led you, trentonlf and Lifthrasil to read it as a slip.

If you put it in the position I did in my post #196 (which frankly, reads a lot more naturally to me than how he phrased it): there's no slip, no confusion, no contradiction, and no caught in a lie.

drealmer7 explained this in his post #174. Perhaps if he had done it the way I did above, things would be clearer for you, and maybe for Lifthrasil too, though he seems to prefer to think that I'm covering for drealmer7 or some such.

Again, this says nothing about drealmer7's actual alignment, just that I don't see a slip, or any of the rest.

I go back and forth on whether this is real or earnest (though I suppose this particular line of argument from you is NAI anyway - not unlike yogs faking his outrage about bad town play in last year's qualifier perhaps) but at least tonally seems consistent.

If I'm following you, yes, I agree with that. But I was positing the argument from the POV that Sage is presumably either town, or presumably if not-town pretending to be town. I just don't see her statement coming naturally from a town mindset, thus my interest in it regardless of what variety of non-town she might be.

Refer back to point one. Will have to think about the implications of that.

The same reason Lift thinks we need a room. We tend to see through each other, in part b/c we've dissected each others' games so many times. Is it 100% take to the bank? No. But I'm pretty inclined to think he's town enough that he's completely off my D1 menu barring something major.

He's certainly good at faking, and perhaps throwing me a curve, but I find his game here consistent with conversations we've had in post-game assessments about his mindset, yada yada.

Yes I saw his response, but I was hoping to see more people weigh in on it because I still see it as a scum slip. Tell me how does drealmer know what gamma's alignment is for sure? The whole statement reads as drealmer is scum and wishes gamma was with him. I guess I could be reading it all wrong but I don't think I am.
