Caught up. Finished the Lift reread

I'd vote Trent already but honestly I suspect Drealmer would ride in for the rescue (read for the hammer) and cut the convo short again. So Ima gonna sit a bit tight and keep hashing things out.

Overall I managed to see all the narratives with my own eyes.
I also noticed this interesting exchange @Trent, which makes me wonder if scum daychat was effective for our particular scum pair.

Further on I see post 226 as perhaps distancing, 238 with Lift lurking for lurkers. D1 overall seems scum didn't need to do much. And don't they know it:

Yeah, this is definitely scummy to me. It's the whole 'Woe is me, you've got it wrong but I'm resigned to my fate and will just accept the mislynch' which doesn't really fit considering he was wholeheartedly pursuing me as scum yesterday. He either thinks pushing me further is only going to look scummy in light of yesterday or that the more he talks it will just be digging his grave further.
So instead he's going for the sympathy / pity (non) vote in the hopes that if he sits tight we might just lynch drealmer or someone else instead.

I considered copy pasting Trent's "come on scum, don't give up like this" challenge to Nacho from that other game. But then I thught of how that ended up and decided against it...

You are right that I did not find something on my reread relevant to this. But I didn't do a full reread, 'twas closer to an ISO on Lift and partially on Trent and I was in a hurry.

That said, I still recall some comment(s) about you being a natural NK from somewhere upthread and I thought that's what you meant: that someone (I assumed Trent) had earlier made a comment about you surviving N2, in preparation for trying to wagon you today.

I would ask if you're sure I was the first to bring that up, but I suspect we'd get into semantics of what "that" referred to. When rereading your sentence I can see you meant N3 when you said "another night", but well... that's not how I interpreted it up to now.

I almost feel like I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't. Every time I attempt to point out how scummy I think adalia is playing you try to poke holes all through any arguments because you firmly believe he's town. So as far as that goes I've said all I'm gong to say because it's a distraction now more than anything. As for Brasas he's filled in quite nicely for gogtrial and I find his play to be town Brasas. As for drealmer I'm not getting into any spats with him today, I feel his frustration as I've been there and the last thing I want is a pointless back and forth with him that ends up with more hard feelings between us. Would I vote drealmer, without a doubt. Would I vote adalia, without a doubt. Would I vote Brasas, probably not. Would I vote you, no.

Emm... no. Take for example his self-vote. You were all astonished and outraged - how could he ever do such a thing; clearly, he must be scum - as if you've never ever seen adaliabooks act reckless as town. I admit I found the timing odd, so kept talking to him to see where he's going with it.
And when I pointed out that it was "quite town-adalibooks", you twisted my comment into me having said it was "town play from adaliabooks", and be even more astonished I could think such a thing. I'm pretty sure town-you would be able to see, if not share, my view, and wouldn't be so quick to paint him almost confirmed scum, and indirectly ask me to support you in this.

So no, I don't poke holes in any arguments you make because I firmly believe he's town, I stick my finger into the holes that your arguments have to begin with.


I don't see why expressing your take on drealmer7's arguments necessarily equates to getting into a spat with him; if nothing else, drealmer7 has ceased engaging any of us directly a long time ago. The most I'd expect is him deciding his read of you as town does indeed mean you are scum.

Just one more question - does the "I find his play to be town Brasas" mean you find his play consistent with how he (usually) plays as town?

While I don't generally agree with the sentiment, Lift's hypothesis that the only reason I didn't get lynched is because both scum were on my wagon seems to be pretty accurate. I would have been dead yesterday if gogtrial/Brasas was scum (or Hyper, though it would have been harder for him to hammer without drawing suspicion) so that really only leaves you and trent.

If trent is not scum then you must be. But I find it next to impossible that trent isn't scum at this point, it's the only thing that really makes sense. And despite what you may think of my hit rate, if you look back at my games as town you'll see I'm right far more often than I'm wrong, and certainly far more often than you are.

You need to get over me placing you as trent's scum buddy and look at his play for what it really is, trent scum through and through.
