Murder on the Wing (11 player version)

Crisis on the ward! adaliabooks has been brutally murdered! The entire wing was locked down yesterday due to a health threat, so presumably no one has come in or out, and yet you awoke to find adalia missing, and clear signs of a struggle in his quarters. Among the most concerning evidence, there is a large bloodstain on the mattress. Though oddly it appears completely dried. Curious.

As a group you examine the evidence left behind. While there’s not much except some Culture Club albums and a smattering of books, scribbled on the inside of a copy of “Mr. T: The Man with the Gold” you find it - a name! And oddly, he also wrote his alignment and role. You don't question your good fortune.

adalia was [Tommy Saturday - Neutral Lyncher]. “Neutral? Who gives a crap about some neutral?” Trent asks. Several grumbles of assent can be heard.

“Wait, what’s a lyncher?” asks Hunter. To which Krypsyn pontificates a lengthy, detailed, quite clear description, as he always does. At this point the whole crowd is content to forget about the whole thing and go back to scavenging for breakfast, when a musical voice pipes up: “Guys, wait - I’ve found a letter adalia left behind! You have to see this!” The voice is lilting, musical, sonorous.

But all that is forgotten (and who even spoke, some wondered - was that flub?) when the letter is tacked up to the wall, and each reads it in turn. The letter is full of detail about some of the denizens of this wing, alas broken up by words that are indecipherable in their scrawl:

“I’ve written these words, however I very much doubt that’s going to save me, or even that anyone will believe it.

If you are reading this, I have likely been ******* ****. Traitorous scum, scum here! And cops, and two *******, though one is a nov*** and the other *****. And vanilla! Also, chocolate! And ask yourself, why is * so jealously secreting away the **** extin******? It makes no sense! Help us, *bi-Wan, you’re our only hope! Somebody’s poisoned the waterhole!

I do have some powers, to help me with my search, but I’ve got to keep something back just in case I survive the day. Errrr, night. Whatever. If I am dead, will someone please feed my pet mouse?”

There is no mouse to be seen, disappointing drealmer who had had thoughts of curing a nice mouse bacon for later in the day. On a homemade crust with a nice organic sauce, and maybe some fresh pineapple, it would have been quite tasty.

In any case, with that, you decide that just maybe you should try and figure out who killed poor adalia, and why. Not for his sake, because he’s probably off in the observer thread laughing at you anyway, but for your own sakes.

Town wins when all threats to town have been eliminated or otherwise neutralized.

RULES

1. Have fun!

2. No cryptoclaiming. Whatever that means.

3. No betting among players. Also, no bedding among players. At least without consent.

4. The moderator of this game is me, Vitek- I mean, errr...bler.. Should you need to contact me, you can reach me through the chat system of this forum.

5. All players have a vote, which they may place upon any player. A vote may be withdrawn by unvoting. Once a player has more than 50% of the votes, that player will be lynched and the game will go to night. No amount of unvoting can prevent this.

For my sanity, I will require you to unvote before any new vote will be counted. Unless you think you have some special power granting you extra votes, in which case, go nuts and just cast a 2nd vote.

6. A player may also vote nolynch. A majority of nolynch votes will end the day without a lynch.

7. Please remember to bold your votes and unvotes like this: Unvote Sparkly Fountain, vote Rusty Horseshoe.

8. When you are dead, you are dead - stop posting. A single "bah"-post is permitted and encouraged.

9. If you are not a player or mod don't post in this thread at all except to heckle Vitek.

10. Don't edit your posts! This is very important! Editing a post is grounds for being modkilled. Due to the forum software I must also ask you not to double post. Two consecutive posts of the same user in a short time frame will merge, creating the appearance of an edited post. The time limit after which you can post without fear of editing post is 11 minutes.
I am not kind mod to provide some restriction for editing I am to kill people. I can be lenient towards accidental edit due to wonky forum if they appear in limited amount but everything else gets you killed on spot. And no, I didn’t copy/paste this, I wrote it myself. That’s exactly how I talk.

11. Please bold any requests for votecounts or questions to the moderator.

12. Do not discuss the game with anyone outside the thread, except for people specified in your role PM, and then only at such times as the PM specifies. It applies to RL as well. If you know some other player from this game, don't talk to them, do not spy on their roles, PM, quickchats, anything.

13. Do not directly quote or esp. cut/paste any PMs you receive from the mod. If you are afraid that your paraphrasing is too close, contact me and I'll take a look at it.

14. All players should post something relevant to game play without their previous relevant post ticking over to the ‘2 day’ mark on the GOG forum clock (i.e. 36 hours).. If you expect to be away for longer period, please let me know either through PM or in the game thread. I will be monitoring the thread closely and if I decide your activity is not enough I will prod and/or modkill you. I will consult with adalia as assistant but any decision is ultimately mine.

15. If you can no longer participate in the game, let me know and I will try to find a replacement.

16. You may not post in the game thread during night phases.

17. All players on winning team win, even the dead ones, assuming any other win conditions have also been satisfied. Anyone who is modkilled loses, no matter what team he was on.

18. Remember it’s just a game. Be polite and remain calm. Anyone not being polite is just trying to get you to make a mistake so they can lynch you. Don’t fall into the trap. Politely lynch them or night kill them for their rudeness.
