I believe Drealmer has said it well. Strictly speaking, it wasn't straight up random.org, but I chose based on less than a gut feeling.

Alright, I think I overreacted. I want to sleep on this to be sure.

After some bickering and discussion, a consensus is reached: naptime. Finally, something everyone can agree on cheerfully. Everyone retreats back to their room for some shut eye, perhaps giving them the energy they need to close the day out with grand success.

When you awake, feeling quite refreshed, you discover that you overslept a bit and the deadline is closer still. The pressure to reach some sort of consensus is steadily building, and anxiety rushes in to strip away much of the relaxation rest had granted you.

The deadline has moved forward to 7:05 am PST, on Monday 3/28 (32.5 hours from now).


(If anyone will be impacted significantly by the holiday (say <50% of normal participation for you), let me know yesterday.)

CSPVG's claim sounds plausible. Someone with access to patients' files that can get some flavor on them.
If Bookwyrm has posted anything about his flavor, I seem to have missed it. It does seem quite a bold move for scum to make on D1 though, yet I also have the nagging suspicion that he may be an insane town cop.

Highly reluctant to vote either of them (unless there's a substantial cash bribe that is), but I currently favor CSPVG as more likely to be town.

Why did you claim now? You asked CSPVG about his ID yet you didn't wait for him to respond. What was the point of asking if you were going to claim anyway?

This is not true. He said he is in the hospital after an accident. He said he got hold of some files to look at, not that he is staff. He may still be scum but you are basing your accusation on false arguments (may be a result of reading it wrong, of course).


Really? I have to agree with Wyrm that he would have probably been among my top picks for a N0. When you have nothing a lurker is probably your best choice.


To be honest, I'm concerned. The only thing that makes me want to believe Wyrm is that it seems way too risky to make such a bold move on D1. What makes it scary is that now I know there was a N0 which makes it possible for scum to night-chat and exchange information prior to the game. If they have something that makes such a play less risky it suddenly becomes a better and potentially very lucrative play.


I really don't know what I think. I'm afraid my judgement is clouded by past experience. I know I'm not voting for Wyrm since there wasn't a counter claim. I'm thinking about whether or not I want to vote for CSPVG.

The scenario I find most likely is that Bookwyrm is not a sane cop. That will not be something we can easily prove though, and it's not certain we'll find out even if/when he flips. Best case would be for CSPVG to investigate Bookwyrm and see what result he gets, but CSPVG doesn't pick his targets.

So no, I've no idea how to proceed atm, but as I said before, I am reluctant to vote for any of the claimed cops atm. Would still love to know a bit more of Bookwyrm's flavor though.

Lynching CSPVG will yield clues to both Hunter7come11, and Bookwyrm6of1.

Assume CSPVG flips town. That means the flavor he got on Hunter was correct, so Hunter may or may not be town, and it also means that Bookwyrm's read was false, so he may be a not sane town cop or scum. So if CSPVG flips town, we know the same things we do now, and we are down one town.
If CSPVG flips scum, that will tell us nothing about Hunter, though it will tell us that Bookwyrm's read on CSPVG was correct. That will tell us nothing about Bookwyrm's alignment though, since it is possible that he is throwing a teammate under the bus to establish excellent credentials.

But yes, if you trust that Bookwyrm is a sane town cop, CSPVG is the lynch choice.
