Leonard03: I don't see how this follows.
dedoporno: Try a bit harder and it'll come to you ;)
If not - let me know.
Consider yourself in the know.
dedoporno: So which one of the two you believe is mafia? What would would you say be a less convenient and more believable Cop claim?
1) I just answered this above, but Dessimu.
2) A more believable cop claim? One that was less "helpful", to be perfectly honest.
cristigale: I don't follow this either. If flubb is scum, he can correctly name any town as town whether or not he is a cop. He could also name one of his buddies as town and who would know the difference?
Nice to know I'm not alone.
dedoporno: Like I said, there are still ways to abuse the situation. But he can stay alive and keep pointing out Townies just for so long before it starts to become obvious we are being played. Don't forget that Tomorrow's pool is likely to be one person thinner so chances to hit scum would be better and better.
The point is how do we know it is correct? If he is scum, why would he through away his cover on a wrong read (saying a towny is scum) unless by lynching them we lose. And if he says someone is town... then we don't lynch them and thus don't find out if his read was correct or a lie.
As for staying alive and pointing out more townies, while we no-lynch. How long exactly is it going to take before we decide we're being played? All they need to do is kill the same person he finds is town. Are you going to immediately turn on him if that happens tonight? Tomorrow night? We might have lost by then!
I'm not big on the lets wait long so it's we're more likely to hit scum... because more townies are dead. It doesn't really help, mafia will eliminate the people least likely to be lynched and we'll just be stuck in a worse position.
