I think the consensus is no. If we believe flub there are only 6 options for scum, and with probably only 2 or 3 scum in the game the odds are good that we find one today.

@CSPVG is there something game related to the stories you keep posting or are you just having fun? Who do you suspect of being scum?

@Leonard, you think flub is scum based on his behavior. If you think he is covering for one of his buddies, who do you think he is covering for Hunter or Dessimu and why do you think they are scum?

My top suspect is still Leonard as he has been off most of the game to me. Even though he has improved his involvement since I last posted my suspicions of him I believe flub, and of the possible people left Leonard is the one I still find to be behaving the oddest.

Travel went fine. Arrived to a house full of relatives (this was unexpected). The drive + family zapped me, need sleep for a clear read.

Gut feeling, since start of d2 I felt he was suspicious.

Seems likely but trenton did vote him at start of d2 and when Dessimu said he found flubbucket and leonard scummy trent asked him to elaborate why Leonard rather than go with flub which would be good for him if they were both scum. That's what I think anyway.

I'm still considering the no-lynch option.

I came up with another scenario where flub is false claiming and it makes sense to confirm real 2 townies instead of going for the win - there are less than 3 scum.

If flub is who he says he is he will most likely die Tonight anyway so we are unlikely to get one more read from him.

They may let him live to create WIFOM but we'll get another read in the process and will be left to us to figure out whether the new read makes sense or not. We'll (or you'll) also have one more confirmed Townie so more data will be available for analysis.

If he is false he will live and feed us with one more read which has to be correct or he will die on the next day for it. That will leave us in no worse situation (I'm ignoring a potential power role loss here and looking just at the numbers). Or he can say he checked the person who happened to die on the same night and have an excuse on why there aren't more usable reads. In order to avoid that I believe flub has to tell us who he will check Tonight (I also believe we should decide together who the investigated person should be). This doesn't cover all the possible outcomes and still can be abused by scum to some extent but leaves a lot less wiggle room.


We already covered the benefits of no-lynching Today (mostly numbers stuff and potentially more usable reads). On the flip side we have to ask ourselves "How do we lose if we no-lynch"?

@trentonlf Dessimu, but only by a little bit. He seems to be stretching for reasons a lot.

@HSL I was town vig in the very first game I played, which was CSPVG's open setup.

I don't see how this follows.

No, but apart from eating my feelings on night 2, I also sat around and made a pretty neat model of the Library of Alexandria using paper clips into napping (and fretting over the global economy) on night 1.

Trentonlf: The two little stories that I've written are meaningless and were done for my own amusement.

As for who I suspect to be scum, well, I'm not very thrilled with flub's claim (and his refusal to give us a full claim), but that has a lot to do with my feelings concerning Dessimu (as I feel he has spent a lot of time misrepresenting things that I've said and trying to get me offed).

Of the three people on flub's list, I'm feel that either cristigale or Leonard could be scum, but I have nothing to base this on other than I think that they haven't been all that active (although they both, most likely, have more posts than I do).

Other than that, I have Hyper down as town for the most part, you leaning towards town, and dedo tenuously leaning towards town. I still have reservations about your actions regarding the disclosure of information on day 1, but you did explain it and have leveled out into what I expect a Town-Trent to look like.

So, in conclusion, I guess it all depends on whether or not I end up trusting flub or not. At this stage, I'm more inclined not to.

If you are town, you should understand perfectly well, that I, as town, do not know what your alignment is. Thus, I by hunting scum, I make a case against you. And your job is to point out the facts that I have interpreted wrong and make be believe that I was wrong. By doing so, you also may make others understand that you are town. If you finger me back and call me scum for misinterpreting things without first doing a decent job of proving me wrong, you are not helping neither to yourself, neither to Town.

I don't follow this either. If flubb is scum, he can correctly name any town as town whether or not he is a cop. He could also name one of his buddies as town and who would know the difference?

Leonard03 seems to be the goon attempting to save their power role.

Like I said, there are still ways to abuse the situation. But he can stay alive and keep pointing out Townies just for so long before it starts to become obvious we are being played. Don't forget that Tomorrow's pool is likely to be one person thinner so chances to hit scum would be better and better.
