I think we both read it backwards. One of those moments where I stop reading carefully and start imagining crazy possibilities. I thought at first you were describing 3 scum factions and went a little aGoG.

On re-read it seems your goal is to kill townies if you want to kill those in favor of ending prohibition. But I agree, you definitely wouldn't want to run out and claim that. But in the hypothetical world where you were scum-hunting 3 particular targets, scum would leave you alone if you claimed to be otherwise vanilla.

It's not like scum think there are townies who AREN'T out to get them. Had a great joke here, but...I'll be a responsible adult and not pick on anyone.

I don't know. My targets might be town, I think they are not.
I don't have hard evidence of a second scum faction, only what my PM tells me. Which is I'm hunting a group of three people who all have the same goal, one which doesn't seem to match with the town win condition (which according to the OP states no particularly preference for any vote, just a diplomatic end to the proceedings) so I believe they are a distinct other faction. The blocking that occurred last night and the dancing around my lynch make me even more certain of this.
