So, we are back to the old days where JMich dies on N1. And no flip, either, which is shitty but also interesting. It kind of reminds me of the
TOWN Arsonist game where a select set of people lost their minds as soon as the word [town] "arsonist" was used among a bunch of options. Funnily, all of those people had some kind of related knowledge that rang their bells instantly. We have some here, as well. Interesting.
It's quite obvious the no flip isn't by default like it was in the milk game so hopefully we'll start getting them sooner rather than later.
Question to the more experienced players - how likely is it to have a janitor and no coroner?
adaliabooks: I fully expected this when P1na flipped scum. The only defence I can give is riddled with WIFOM (why would I say what I said if I was his buddy, knowing how he would flip) so I'm not sure it's worth bothering (beyond what I said in the previous parenthesis).
It is WIFOM and maybe that was the entire point of the play. Next level buddy bussing where you do it in a way that is not antagonistic to appear less LAMIST in the end. I actually like such approach, it's clever. Of course, this may be just the paranoid (this is not a claim) in me talking and you can be legit. I still don't understand why you were in such a hurry to hammer.
Either way, you have my attention now. Leonard03: What else am I supposed to do if I don't think the current wagon is a good lynch? Just not vote? That is silly sir!
You said earlier that you are sitting and waiting for better targets. OK, you said you don't believe in the p1na lynch but how are flub/kryp better targets? I have to agree with adalia on the fact that in the end any flip is better than no flip at all. Just like you (and I to that matter) can't understand why p1na behaved the way he did I can't understand your way of seeing things. I didn't see anything pro-town coming from you Yesterday while a bunch of stuff here and there that are the exact opposite. Adalia at least bussed his buddy (this is mostly a joke, I have no proof, but it's totally plausible).
bler144: To this point, no one has asked the most important question:
Does the fact that the game restarted well in advance of deadline prove that Hijack is not scum? That's mostly a joke, but...it was my first thought when I saw the game was up already.
This is the most important question? Really?
bler144: I will say that I thought the end of yesterday actually looked pretty good for 4 people, only one of whom wasn't on the wagon. And one of those 4...was yogs. But I'm not lining up to kiss anything! I mean, I was paranoid enough to think yogs would make the original play + claim as scum, but... I'm not willing to be quite paranoid to think he's going to do all that AND bus a teammate. He does like a challenge, but...he's not stupid.
Honestly, when is the date? I have to RSVP, no? May I +1?
adaliabooks: No, I don't 'have to'. I find the reasons bad because I genuinely feel it was a really sucky lynch. We basically told a player he shouldn't bother playing because his playstyle is distracting and we don't like it, or at least that's what it looked like to me.
What happened to "Alea iacta est"? I thought anyone was fair game for lynching on day one and for even less meaningful reason.
bler144: In any case, I think many of us who voted for P1na would dispute that "playstyle" was the issue, even though you seem determined to stand on that interpretation. But this seems like a distraction from today's purpose at present.
For me it was part of the package, yes. That doesn't mean it was the only or even most important part.
Leonard03: He said he meant vanilla as in normal role, not some made-up one specifically for the setup. I won't deny it wasn't the best move, but I didn't find it
scummy.
So, you found everything p1na said and did townie enough to stay away from him, yet flub and krypsyn ringed your bells so hard you put effort into placing useless votes on them? Tell me something (and I don't mean to offend you, just trying to figure something out). How many games have you been in so far?
drealmer7: ~ non rhymed content ~
Not trying to be a dick about it but weren't you supposed to rhyme your stuff until the end of D2 or did I misread that? :P
bler144: Pondering it, the alternative is troubling, though it points both directions. Could yogs still be scum (unlikely but possible) and NK someone who wouldn't give him any leeway? Sure. Could scum have chosen JMich for precisely that reason? Sure. Or could we be looking for reasons where none exist, as yogs suggests?
In my opinion JMich is actually one of the scarier people around in terms of paying close attention and picking up on irregularities. He has been called a late game rockstar (ironically by Yogsloth) so let's not be too hasty in writing people off entirely.
Bookwyrm627: This...sounds like a lot more work than it is worth. Why not just off you, clean it up, and then go for a softer lynch target, like Adalia or Leonard (assuming that the three of you are town)?
WIFOM? It's only natural for a coroner to be able to get info upon investigating a corpse (sorry adalia). On N1 the only corpse we had was p1na's. Yog isn't that much of a threat on D2 role-wise (under the assumption he's a coroner) so why bother with him?
bler144: adalia was against or ambivalent about the wagon, and then hammered when it was inevitable.
And still against or ambivalent. This again reminds me of a previous game where adalia refused to hammer his buddy Krypsyn for whatever reason (I think it was to spite yogs). Could there be an evolution to this? Like bus him, but be reluctant about it? What is the next step? Go full LAMIST and bus the shit out of them like "Yeah, take that you filthy scum!!"?
Am I tunnel-visioning right now? How come so much stuff piled on for adalia? Leonard looked worse yesterday.
drealmer7: I want to know why people don't think adalia is scummy? with how the P1na flip turned out and adalia in regards to that. His reasons+defenses do not hold up, at all, imo.
But the is.
I just still can't get my head around his "play" with that hammer.
HijacK: Alright, time to get back to the game.
Yes, please!
HijacK: I ended up blocked. What if it was a jail? For someone who goes into the craziest and weirdest of flavor places your stance is beyond obtuse.
Why would they block you instead of kill you for being more killable? What does that even mean anyway? Does that mean others are less killable by default?
Was I the last one to check in? I figure that the "blocked" reports are the only ones we are getting today or so it seems at least.
