Leonard03: Twelve!
LOL! And I mean that, literally LOL!

yogsloth: Honest question: Do you think I should do a full claim now?
Really? After all this time you will give it up? Do you actually think you may end up being the lynch?
avatar
dedoporno: Really? After all this time you will give it up? Do you actually think you may end up being the lynch?
I don't know. I've never been lynched before. Or even been seriously threatened. I have to weigh what will be more beneficial: giving a full claim when against the wall, or trying to out-wait the pressure? Because I do believe that claiming early will not give the full benefit. It will completely mess with Leonard's wagon.

Do you really not see at least a piece of what I'm doing? At least a piece?

yogsloth: Honest question: Do you think I should do a full claim now?
No.
avatar
yogsloth: Do you really not see at least a piece of what I'm doing? At least a piece?
I don't know. I thought I may have gotten a glance but don't know anymore. Isn't it obvious that I'm quite confused and trying to figure out wtf is going on? That's what I meant when I said it's not that cool to be a few chapters behind others.

Anyway, I think I'm with Krypsyn on this. If you believe you should hold as long as you can but don't let it go out with you if you can and things go south. I will stand by my word, I'm cutting you slack since I count on you actually having something decent. I really hope this is the correct choice and you don't fuck us over like you did in the TOWN Arsonist game.

dedoporno: I really hope this is the correct choice and you don't fuck us over like you did in the TOWN Arsonist game.
Fuck YOU over in that game? LMAO.
avatar
yogsloth: Fuck YOU over in that game? LMAO.
You fucked over the Town back then ;)

yogsloth: Do you really not see at least a piece of what I'm doing? At least a piece?
If you're town, no. Scum, maybe.

I do think Krypsyn is partly right - I was trying to figure out, among other things, how you were so clear on Trent next, who was curious but was not in my top 2-3. And why I should follow your lead without something tangible to point why.

And the theories keep starting to point back to not-town. You apparently knew in advance that a bad flip was possible, and when it happened who on the wagon was the seemingly certain (to you, and apparently Krypsyn) suspect for it. Whatever you are, you're no mere coroner. Or seemingly anything else on that short list of false-claimed roles. Jailer would fit the second criteria, but not the first.

Don't know whether we should actually lynch you vs. Leonard today, but then, I don't think we will know til you actually put a case on the table for everyone to evaluate.

For me it's mostly how much you're dancing around and not providing any clarity. You may have 4 pages typed up, but unless you've put it in forum Mafia escrow for a neutral 3rd party to post as is, it can be edited to suit your future needs. And I've seen you adjust a bluff on the fly before.

What Krypsyn's seeing isn't clear to me either, but ...he's also not suspect. And he's Krypsyn. And for all I know he's seen whatever you're bluffing better than I and is just content to let it play out and trap you at the end. Or maybe he's being honest. IDK.

As for whether you claim now or later (full or partial), that's up to you, though depending on what you have to say, at least speaking for myself, I may give more credence to something you say now than something you wait to say til it's clear you're up against it.
Today the discussion quickly focuses on two members. Yogsloth, he who talks, and Leonard, he who paints. Both seem to have an equal number of opponents who want to see them dead. But no decision has been taken yet.

*****************************************
Vote count

leonard 4: krypsyn, yogsloth, Ixamyakxim, dedoporno
yogsloth 4: Bookwyrm, trentonlf, bler144, flubbucket

Both tie at L-3
******************************************
Speaking of Trent and yogs (and refresh) vote counts, there is something I find interesting in the voting record:

yogsD1 trent 2 xx
p1naD1 trent 2 yogs 3
adalia yogs 1 trent 2
LeonD2 yogs 2 trent 3
adalia trent 3 yogs 4
LeonD3 trent 2 yogs 3
yogsD3 trent 2 xx

Other than the two wagons on yogs (which yogs, for some reason hasn't seen fit to join), and Trent getting off/on adalia (now now, I didn't say he got off on adalia, gutter-minds), they've been neck-and-neck voting on every other wagon it appears. Where one goes, the other follows.

Now that I am looking at both Trent and yogs, 5x seems a bit more than coincidence and more like a pattern.

drealmer7: Maybe flub is his scum-buddy and he was counting on his scum-buddy to get a PM about it so they could "cover" it, but that's not how it works maybe? And so now he's out on a limb going "GDIT flub! why didn't you say you got one?!" Just reaching theories. More to come, including start of the day flavor from me and some yogsloth thoughts too (which at this point I think are most important to be contemplating), but, I thought I'd throw that out there quickly.
I'm bringing into question your capability as a player to engage in this game if you think that everyone is as dumb as that and you're somehow precious for coming up with... whatever you said is.

Like. smh.

avatar
Ixamyakxim: Yeah, one of the big parts of my post I kept rewriting was WHERE THE F DID ALL THE JAILERS / BLOCKERS GO! I guess attrition but right now I doubt there's even one in play (I... don't think I believe leonard - I suppose we could have people on both sides that were jailed and don't want to say but at this point I'm almost inclined to believe no one was jailed).
Pls, I got jailed. Your point is already incorrect.

avatar
drealmer7: The difference between me and hijack though is that he got a PM about being jailed (so he says), I did not.
...How did you know you were jailed then?....

I am very very inclined to vote now. That sounds like a massive slip.

Oh, and I got more wild party stories to share.

I know I said earlier in the game that 40 y.o. white guy rap was scummy, but that was pretty amusing.

Fwiw, I'd like to be doing more logic and reason, but you seem intent on holding back the data for reasons I'm not super clear on beyond "trust you" which obviously I don't.

Oh, and I much preferred the Blerbi-wan line. Bluke? Am I really that whiny? ;)

HijacK: ...How did you know you were jailed then?....

I am very very inclined to vote now. That sounds like a massive slip.
My eye opened when I first read that post for the same reason, but after considering it I came down on the pov that's not actually what he was saying.

His D3 posts are a bit of a mess, as you yourself note, but to me his point seemed to be that it was suspicious that you were jailed and he wasn't because you being jailed meant scum and him being not jailed somehow...meant not scum? Which is still a problematic argument, but I don't really see any slip myself. /shrug.
For better context, here's the full exchange:

avatar
Bookwyrm627: So uh...do you think you're probably scum, since you survived the night in spite of being prodded? ;)
avatar
drealmer7: The difference between me and hijack though is that he got a PM about being jailed (so he says), I did not.
Which I read as drealmer saying HijacK was prodded, but survived with a message he was jailed. drealmer was prodded and survived without such a message.
avatar
Bookwyrm627: Maybe I'm just acclimated to high numbers of role block type abilities, but why does 2 seem all that high? Under other circumstances, I might agree that 3 would be stretching credibility, but my credibility checker overloaded while processing Adalia's flip.

If I were a jailer and targeted Hijack, and then I hear someone else claim to have blocked him, I'd think "Lets see what additional verification comes out". As I mentioned previously, I see no reason to assume that two jailers/blockers can't target the same person.
And then there is also the possibility of blocking roles to target other blocking roles.

avatar
bler144: I do think it worth noting, however, that while there were 3 claimed blockers/jailers last game, at least one of them was lying (Hijack). I don't remember who the other two were or if they were real.
Actually, I was a genuine Roleblocker. The only difference is that I had evolved to that begging night 2.

avatar
Krypsyn: When I was a chemistry major in college, out final exam had an extra credit question. It gave a few ingredients and told us to get a certain product. That product just happened to be LSD. I was one of two students to actually get that question right. Heh. The stuff is pretty trivial to make ... in theory. One just has to be careful that everything is done in such a way as to keep all the reactions efficient and the product pure (impurities in the finished product can cause nasty issues).
I'm wondering if you're a dealer now. xD I've actually seen the recipe for that shit. It's tough as hell to create.

Oooor, here's a possibility: Players that do nothing during the night do not really know they are blocked.
*ba dum ts*
I mean. People have been looking at all sorts of possibilities for various scenarios. How did this escape their minds?

In any case, I'm willing to cut him a tiny slight bit of slack, but it does sound to me like he slipped. This and his points for trying to paint others scummy are...ugh... let's call them weak. I'm holding my vote off for now, but won't be forever.
