Does anyone here think it is possible that there are more than 4 intruders?

Krypsyn: Read posts 978, 979, 980, and 981 to see why this doesn't add up.

Ixamyakxim: I don't think you saw it. I think you saw a few people flip out and a few people jump off that were hard on agent and I think you were able to deduce what happened to produce that post. It's only well *after* that trenton sees it (PM prodding from a scumbuddy?).

By the way, I hate whipping out the PM P----. Agentcarr I would have mod killed you and ended the day. I'm town, and kudos to mchack if you are scum, but I think mchack handled his "role reveal" in a much more game friendly manner. If he is scum and botched it, so be it but if he is town thank you for the way you handled that.
You think I was too close to directly quoting my PM? If I'm not allowed to quote my name and title, then am I allowed to quote my title only? Or is that too much? Should I try breaking the thing down into syllables, and then making sure I don't directly quote those? Maybe I should have claimed Joe Blow, Kidnapped Telephone Repairman, just so I wouldn't quote my PM.

Sorry. We may have caught one scum, and I'm not 100% sure on that because I never am 100% sure of anything in this game, but it sure as heck won't happen to another scum, so it hasn't broken the game, IMO.

CarrionCrow: It's interesting that your first thought was to mention it all being a tactic to save yourself.
That what it was, pure and simple.

If there's a way I can save Town from lynching their power roles on Day 1, I'll do it. And the best way to stop that from happening is to make sure they don't lynch me.

Vitek: People still open them? o_O
Sometimes I'm not sure why I do...

Ixamyakxim: <ssssssnip>
...
Several other people fairly clearly DO read the huge "problem" with agentcarr's post and it's at this point that I think the clever Krypsyn points out what everyone else *must* be seeing.
...
<snipppppp>
What problem? My PM info?

When I really think about it, this whole post doesn't make sense.

How would Krypsyn have picked up on it unless he was comparing it to his PM? And if it's in his PM, then he's Town, so why the heck are you voting for him? Because he broke the game? Bad reason.

And you don't like how trentonlf dropped his vote without providing reasoning. Well, I would assume that he saw something in there that rang true. It wasn't the detail about my PM, but it was something. And what was it you saw that should have been his reason. And if I sound like I'm false-claiming, where is your vote?

You seem to be flopping around, without making a whole lot of sense.

By the way, I spent a literal hour writing the post where I claimed. I made very sure of everything that I put in there and that it had the exact tone I wanted. I wanted to push buttons and make things happen. Buttons were pushed and things are now happening. Excellent. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Ixamyakxim: I don't think you saw it.
Read my initial post again (post 955). View my clip, being careful to note the title of the clip and words used within it starting from where I time-stamped it. Then read agentcarr16's post 981.

We're still in a stalemate, still on day 1, and people are still either going back and forth, or getting annoyed that day 1 seems to be endless.

You got enough people off your back with the display to feel safer. That's about it. If you were looking for a self-serving resolution, you've evidently succeeded.
*edit

Risking edit elves - I'm really sorry but that was a near pure mean spirited post that contained no game material

Oh, missed this one. You make at least one interesting assumption here. Care to guess to what I am referring?

Scum can PM. I... actually always operate on that assumption. I'd find it odd if they can only chat at night and think of that more of the exception than a rule. I think it has to do with where I first played "mafia" - we only did one gamestyle and scum were always allowed to PM.

QUAD let me know if you want the contents of my post PMed to you I saved it before I did the edit just in case you wanted to go over it to see how much I screwed up.

Ixamyakxim: Scum can PM.
Since when?! The only game I know of on GOG when scum could Day-chat with PMs was the Werewolf game where I, and mrkgnao, were wolves. There are possibly others, but it is very much the exception to the rule; Night-chats with moderator supervision are the norm.

We were allowed to day chat during the TOWN Arsonist game. Well, until our shit burned down that is :D

Oh and @mchack, not cool man, not cool...

Yeah... guess who hosted that one LOL. In hindsight, while I think the only time I played as scum here I never got to experience "real" scum-dom (I needed to be recruited before I joined the team) maybe that assumption is a poor one.

Thank you for pointing this out, as it makes my supposition seem a bit ridiculous RE: you and trenton. I'm glad because now I don't have to harp on something using information that I'd really rather pretend no one had and an exchange I'd rather move beyond.

Yeah, I was waiting for you, boy!
1001 a space travesty
Whenever you're back around, moderator, can I get a vote count, please?
Just a quick heads up - I'm dealing with a family emergency, it's been a very long and stressful day, and it's not completely over yet.
I have to catch up, but I'm pretty beaten at the moment, and I just want to go to bed, sorry.
Hope to post something meaningful tomorrow some time, but it'll depend on how things are going.
I hate to have to interrupt your logic like this, but...
