RWarehall: Of course I have no idea why Agent decided it was necessary to reveal his role...
Frankly, that part was completely unnecessary...
avatar
CarrionCrow: How are you able to speak with such certainty that Agent isn't scum?
I'd rather not go into it as it would likely make Trentonlf unhappy...

You spoke up for them with certainty, but can't elaborate. Okay...
avatar
mchack: I wonder what would happen if we never ever got a deadline ;) We might still be at it in a month...
I think it is possible Q.U.A.D. is just having fun running an experiment on us all and will not give us a deadline ever. It is just leaving us to sit here and fester for as long as possible until we decide to eliminate someone. It wants us to turn on each other to a poinit where no one trusts anyone and we are unable to accomplish our goal (s) because we're all driven mad by tedium and suspicion. Cruel, evil A.I, I tell you all!

Too late.

I wouldn't call it 100% certainty, there is always doubt and without knowing what has been told to the intruders, it's impossible to know for sure. Just on a whole, I find it very likely his claim is true.
*wants to make a joking comment about voting no-lynch for D1 but doesn't want to feel the wrath or have it interpreted as something nefarious somehow* "look! He's been pushing for it all along!" or somesuch. No...

I am just curious if the group thinks that it would be more valuable if a no-lynch were done now than had we done it at the very beginning, but I'm still not trying to get that result, certainly, I just would like some veteran-ed perspectives at this point.

What would we gain from a no lynch?
Here's how I see things, and apologies if this disappoints even more people:

We're nine days into this. We're about to hit 1000 posts. We've climbed on and back off enough wagons now for real apathy to start to set in. In order to move the game forward, we need this Day to end. The mod won't give us a deadline, and without something, this game is going to just sputter on and on losing more and more traction.

If we're unable to build a consensus, I think we have two basic choices:

1) Immediate mass role claim. Everybody throw in your name, title, stats, and role. Put it all out there and we just comb through it and lynch the Bulletproof Berzerkers and CPR Doctors. This will probably not be very much fun, but you can judge whether it's less fun than sitting around in endless analysis paralysis.

2) Intentionally go to no-lynch by voting for it. This won't be very fun either, and remains generally terrible form overall, but I almost don't know what else to do at this point. At least we might have night actions to work from.

Both choices stink.

My vote stays for now, although "Tracker" would be an awfully ballsy role for Scum to claim, but I really don't like this:

RWarehall: And again, for any cops out there, please don't waste it on confirming a townie. Don't listen to Agent. It helps us far more to discover an actual scum. And a less beneficial side-effect to a "miss" is you always confirm a townie...

Agent's advice is bad advice...find the scum...save the cheerleader!
Why is RW directly making a plea to investigative roles not to investigate agent? Because agent is now magically delicious Town, and that's irrefutable? Chiding agent for it? I hate missives like "find the scum". Thanks for the advice. Don't like this post at all.

Yep.

Unlike mchack, you got your claim correct. (post 588, iirc)

What makes mchack's claim unquestionably false?

Nothing that I can see.
