HypersomniacLive: .......<snip>..........

Are you saying that perhaps one or more scum have some sort of compulsion that forces them to sabotage? Could you please clarify?
I remember yogsloth earlier saying something like how much he'd like to play Gozer the Gozerian if he were scum.

Not sure what you're referring to when you ask if it's likely to depend. Their ability to make a choice or the actual choice itself? Or something entirely different?
Their ability to make a choice.

trentonlf: There are several roles where a Town player is given the ability to kill others. Here is a list of several of the roles that can be used in a game as an example. Not all the roles listed are for town, but many are. And as you said a mix of roles (not all killing roles) is often attached to the JOAT role (Jack of all trades) in a limited shot fashion.
Thanks trentonlf, I'm familiar with the MafiaWiki.

Regarding my reply to CarrionCrow - I said that my impression is that Vigilante comes up as a role in mafia games here more often than not, and was asking if that's my personal, based on my limited experience, impression or it it's indeed the case.

HypersomniacLive: Their ability to make a choice.
If the mechanics from BSG / Dark moon are followed this should be consistent, meaning they should always be provided with the choice. Of course, we can start theorizing that there may be a role who strips them of this flexibility or makes them always help and so on (both board games have such things that tampered with the normal flow), but we have enough speculation as it is, no point in adding more before actually seeing how a crisis resolves and what consequences that result will have.
I think the more important part of these mechanics is the fact the selection truly seems provisional (i.e. can be changed before the deadline). Thus, there seems to be little need to stat claim before next one. One just needs to be ready to object if selected for a bad skill.

I strongly suggest we keep future claims to a minimum so that we can provide as much cover as possible for "The Decider".

Agreed, and cheers.

Here, I fixed that for you ;P

And yes, I also don't currently see any benefit in premature claiming.
This is the part of the day that is supposed to be busiest.

And nobody has posted in hours. Why bother?

Here we just sit. And wait. And wait.
