trentonlf: Now you answered a bunch of unimportant and trivial questions that didn't even pertain to the game, nothing wrong with that. drealmer7 is playing the game, even if it is in a way that is totally different than anyone else does, but he is playing the game and there's nothing wrong with that either. No need to pull a trentonlf and blow up at someone in the game, let the guy play it his way and have some fun.
Let me pull a trentonlf on you. Did you look from the perspective that maybe he is scum? Hmmm?

I totally have, and if he does not start computing better I don't see things going well for him.
Woo, Stuff is happening and rather fast :)

Before the Captain (or whoever) sends out that pm with names on it, I wanna put my name in the bowl: it's Peter Santiago (Generator Technician). I won't be claiming abilities today, but I see no harm in putting my rank out there, especially since there's generators that need repairing. Also my FIN is higher than my other stats.

@dedoporno: don't you go "not cool man" on me, I just don't want anyone to die in this crisis

As for Vitek and Krypsyn: I don't see the point. Like at all.

also for Krypsyn: Now since you apparently (jokingly?) claimed your stats as being DEF, ATK, SNK and FIN, how is it that you got a minus 1 to INT by the edit elves? What the hell happened to Townies only telling the Truth? That question goes for Vitek aswell...

Try looking for underlying meaning, rather than just taking what is said literally. Reading between the lines might help.

I can't speak for Vitek, but I, personally, haven't lied. Check your assumptions, then get back to me. :)

Hmmm, you play it well. It's very hard for me to tell if you really have a hard time understanding me or if it is all just playing/picking on me (since I picked on you) and you understand me but wish to confuse others about me and aim to to take me down, like the intruder I believe you to be. Watch this one, crewbies, I think he understands me perfectly.

Krypsyn: ... I, personally, haven't lied.
Something a liar would say, (in case that wasn't obviously a possibility here.)

drealmer7: Something a liar would say, (in case that wasn't obviously a possibility here.)
Well yes, liars would lie about being a liar. Rather circular argument, however. Try again. :)

Not making an argument, just stating the obvious, I suppose. Obviously, a truth-teller would say they're not a liar too. Fancy a game of cards?
More to the point, since I am feeling magnanimous (and I doubt either of you two will figure it out any time soon), it can be demonstrably shown that I have spoken about the contents of my PM without inaccuracy throughout the entire thread. In fact, I don't remember even referring to my PM at all, except obliquely in post 4.

In all other cases, I referenced stats, but never directly mentioned my PM. It was merely an assumption on the part of others that made them draw the conclusion that I was speaking about my PM. I like to mess with people's assumptions in Mafia; a lot can be learned by which direction people choose to jump when forced to fill in the blanks for themselves.

It other words, I am demonstrably not a liar in this case.
EBWOP

When said I obliquely referenced my PM in post 4, I meant in post 28 (the one about "fin" vs "FIN"). I read "4 Days ago" and ... well, I guess I am a little tired ... my brain didn't catch up with my fingers until I reread after posting. ;)

----------------------

Oh, also, the subtext of my posts regarding stats was that I hate talking about PMs. Especially on the first Day! I think the potential danger of giving up pertinent information to scum outweighs the potential of town gaining an advantage. Later on, once town has had a chance to get a better handle on the situation, through night actions and lynch analysis, that stance may be revised.
I invoke LAL, so vote Vitek. When the sum of my stats is less than his claimed lowest one, I call shenanigans.
I get what he's doing with that post, but I still find it wrong (the post, not his intention).

I thought the exact same thing, but even if you do it as a matter of principal you should also consider yours stats alone aren't enough to prove he is actually not telling the truth.

What I don't like about his play is that instead of showing that anyone can step up and claim they are fit for handling the job (at least that's my impression) it actually made some people spill information that may or may not have been available to the scum.
I finally realised where I know the crisis mechanics from!

It's like in Battlestar Galactica boardgame. Yay, I know something OOG. I feel brilliant now.

And Cylon's usual intent there, at least in the less serious and early crisis is to be helpful as much as possible to gain some "town" points.

CarrionCrow: Figuring that the stats rank from 1 to 10, with a base of 15 points in total being allocated across the three stats. Initially thought that maybe a maximum could be broken as the cost of a role ability, but stats that may never be used by a player don't match up to the constant of having an ability.
How did you figure that? Only by looking at your own stats?

dedoporno: ...it actually made some people spill information that may or may not have been available to the scum.
Like who?
Those saying they don't have 17 as the lowest stat? What a shocking reveal.

I wonder what would happen if we achieved lynched before resolving the crisis...

You never disappoint me, JMich.
Doesn't change the fact that you made awful post right there.

It's math.

You draw a line between one point and make an assumption......everyone knows that

That sounds more like math as applied to economics to me. :P Well, except in Economics you make the assumption first, then pick the point through which to draw the line.
