QuadrAlien: Ixamyakxim curses, loudly. "Then why are we gathered here?" he continues? "Yes, shouldn't we be in the security department, arming ourselves?" continues trentonlf.

drealmer7: To me, I find that these two statements lend very strongly to them being crew-members, not intruders.

I'm going to attempt a system reboot, check the startup parameters, and see if I can get Q.U.A.D. behaving a bit more normally. If anyone thinks they can help, I'd be glad to have it.
There's always the possibility that the mod came up with a lot of flavor text while making sure to add players' names to add an air of meaning to something with no deeper value than setting the stage for this scenario.
avatar
flubbucket: Perhaps I'm too subtle.
avatar
Krypsyn: No... I got it. Make mine a double!
avatar
mchack: If not or it gets somehow proven that it was indeed a lie, I'll be pushing for lynch all liars.
avatar
Krypsyn: Sounds fun.
The room goes quiet. Gathered around a glass window looking into the room, you see the Edit Elves gathered, escaped from their confinement. Strangely, they don't seem to be trying to get in. Just staring, sort of sadly, directly towards Krypsyn.

Suddenly, one appears on the main monitor, replacing Q.U.A.D. "You of all people should know better," she says, and disappears again. Q.U.A.D. reappears and looks left and right on screen, as if searching for the intruding Elf.

Then up.

A lawn gnome materialises and falls onto Krypsyn's head, shattering into pieces. By the time everyone has their wits about them again, the remaining Elves have disappeared.

Krypsyn has -1 to INT until Day 2!
Well...at least the gnome wasn't metal.
Does our developement disable child even have 1 INT? :-p

drealmer7: To me, I find that these two statements lend very strongly to them being crew-members, not intruders.
So your reason fot thinking Ix is town is pure flavour?

avatar
drealmer7: ...
here's my current list from MOST suspicious to LEAST suspicious:
...
2. Ixamyakxim
...
13. Crewdroog (also playing it very intelligently if an intruder)
...
avatar
Ixamyakxim: I would however keep an eye on Crewdroog, especially if she ends up at or near the penultimate vote on me. A newbie playing this low, and especially Crew with nary a sardonic comment concerns me.
avatar
drealmer7: thanks for the input, and I agree, Crewdroog is looking more and more likely.
avatar
drealmer7: No worries, you still seem crew-member to me. Get some rest!
So your no. 2 suspect who you think is wrongly targeted by people mentioned crew, who you had as no. 3 town, as more likely to be mafia, you concured that she is more and more likely to be scum and then called her tonw (station crew) 1 hour later. Am I getting this right?

avatar
drealmer7: Thanks, I was uncertain, actually. This leads me more down the path of the no-lynch option and more to the mentality of "those who are really against it are more likely intruders." ...
And once again drealmer?
So JMich explained to you how we will learn things not only about lynched but also about other players and THAT led you more down the path of no-lynch and to suspect people not wanting it?
Why?

I still can't decide whether you are that new or just outright scummy.
avatar
QuadrAlien: A lawn gnome materialises and falls onto Krypsyn's head, shattering into pieces.
Chompski?!
avatar
mchack: I really need to get that spellchecker going but I still haven't gotten it to work (I'm using a pretty simple text editor in linux without spellchecking and then I tried libreoffice but somehow it didn't have any dictionaries installed, gotta look into that. Maybe there's a simple firefox plugin I can use to check in the form...
Spellchecker wouldn't help. The word loose is a word (opposite of tight), so the spellchecker wouldn't flag it as incorrect.

avatar
drealmer7: You shouldn't worry about whether he understands me or not, really.
Quite the opposite. If he does understand you and tries to misinterpret you, it does make him scummier. If he doesn't understand you, it doesn't.
Then again, if he does understand you, does not misinterpret you, and you can't answer his questions satisfactory, it does make you scummier.

drealmer7: I'm going to attempt a system reboot, check the startup parameters, and see if I can get Q.U.A.D. behaving a bit more normally. If anyone thinks they can help, I'd be glad to have it.
Let me see if I understood you correctly. We are in the middle of space, enclosed in a room, with life support and doors maintained by an A.I. and you intend to mess with said A.I. I do not think you are qualified to do such repairs, so I'd kindly ask you to not mess with Q.U.A.D., unless you'd want me to ask you in a less kind way.

Vitek: I still can't decide whether you are that new or just outright scummy.
Well...

JMich: I do not think you are qualified to do such repairs, so I'd kindly ask you to not mess with Q.U.A.D., unless you'd want me to ask you in a less kind way.
At least it's not Krypsyn who is trying to tamper with the computers given his temporary mental disability.

QuadrAlien: Krypsyn has -1 to INT until Day 2!
If that is supposed to be an actual punishment for double posting, it seems the stats do take part in the nightly activities and/or potentially during the day if there is something to happen.
avatar
drealmer7: Thanks, I was uncertain, actually. This leads me more down the path of the no-lynch option and more to the mentality of "those who are really against it are more likely intruders." So, who here is ABSOLUTELY against not eliminating someone today? I know a few have spoken out against such, are there others willing to reveal their position? Or are the intruders succeeding in their fear-mongering and we have people remaining quiet but would vote no-lynch if they didn't fear the wagon or a slower accumulation of information (I mean, I assume we will learn SOMEthing after a majority vote of no-lynch, wouldn't we? I feel like Q.U.A.D. will have to give us something more and you wouldn't simply get a repeat scenario of day-1 minus 1-crewmember from the overnight elimination. That does seem pointless and I can understand why you'd just go ahead and vote for elimination to avoid that, but, how likely is that? I think people are just afraid that that might happen, and, again, any behavior out of fear is no good in my book.)
avatar
RWarehall: Let's see...so you are saying that anyone strongly against a no-lynch are more likely scum...
Then asking who holds that position...no wonder you received so little response....

But I'll bite. Yes, I am strongly against a day 1 no-lynch. I generally am even willing to do the unconscionable "wagon-jump" if necessary to secure a lynch. About the only way you wouldn't see me on such a wagon at deadline, would be if I'm fairly inclined to believe someone is town for whatever reason. On a day 1, very few people ever meet that criteria...
So we'll be getting an RWarehall Vote sometime...........soon??

flubbucket: So we'll be getting an RWarehall Vote sometime...........soon??
It seems he prefers to finger people. In a suspiciously manner.
avatar
dedoporno: In a suspiciously manner.
That was supposed to read "suspicious". I don't like using my phone to write, it tries to make decisions for me :/
avatar
HijacK: This begs a certain question. Or 2.
avatar
Krypsyn: Nope.
Shhhhhh.

For real? There's such a mechanic in game and you can use it? If so and you need help with it, I'd thow in my prowess. (it's a word I've checked!)
if on the other hand, it's just roleplaying for saying something like you'll take a nap and then reread the thread, then please disregard this offer.

Very well. Edit Elves, you know what to do!

(one well-aimed gnome to the chest later)

HijacK has -1 to STR until Day 2!

A note appears on the screen: "Please do not test us or we may move on to the flamingos."

I hope you are not... oh nevermind.
