Ah, hogwash! My rep changed. Ah well. 369 still rocks!

mchack: Can I be the knight that says neigh, Neigh, NEIGH? :P

seriously, sorry, I ever auto-spellcheck my posts, but I'll try to get my text editor to do that from now on...
Meh. I had to point it out.

avatar
yogsloth: (Silly hint: there are at least two players I believe are playing distinctly against their meta, and that’s on top of the guy I’m voting for.)
If you're town, why not say who?

avatar
RWarehall: We could always talk about what we suspect of game setup to get something going and irritate Trentonlf...
That's always fun...

RWarehall: Finger of Suspicion Ixamyakxim
*facepalm

What have I started?

avatar
yogsloth: Last game I paid a price for not putting down enough observations before I died, and what looked obvious to me wasn't to others.
Meh. We still won.

avatar
yogsloth: KILL KILLL KILL KILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIGHT NAO!!!!
SLAUGHTER THOSE WHO POST LESS THAN AN UNDEFINED X POSTS/DAY!!!

avatar
CarrionCrow: A new player question - How long does a day usually run without resolution before the mod steps in and forces a vote?
Gotta love how four people gave you the exact same answer, in four consecutive posts.

avatar
drealmer7: <snip>
Just for the record, I will vote no-lynch if I feel like it. Voting no-lynch immediately makes you a target, but I agree with your points.

BTW, what did I do that made me suspicious?!?

avatar
dedoporno: You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.
I didn't watch the clip, but I laughed out loud when I read that, because of this.

So, we've had the requisite no-lynch lecture, we've had at least one person get uncomfortably close to lynch, now we just have to wait for the next two weeks to pass so we can get to the deadline.
avatar
agentcarr16: Gotta love how four people gave you the exact same answer, in four consecutive posts.
Hmmmm. This begs a certain question. Or 2.
avatar
agentcarr16: If you're town, why not say who?
Because I am comfortable with my current choice Today, do not want to muddy the soup, and see a benefit to having those two have a little bit more rope.

Sorry dedo- hope that helps your question as well.
avatar
mchack: We will loose one of us that's almost a given (barring neutrals killing and protective roles making the right call) and then what?
avatar
dedoporno: You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.
oh, damnit. I really need to get that spellchecker going but I still haven't gotten it to work (I'm using a pretty simple text editor in linux without spellchecking and then I tried libreoffice but somehow it didn't have any dictionaries installed, gotta look into that. Maybe there's a simple firefox plugin I can use to check in the form...
The word I was meaning to use would be "to lose" (as in "lost my keys" but you gotta admit spoken out it sounds like there would have to be two "o"s in there :)
avatar
mchack: what exactly do you think we could gain from a no-lynch?
Most of what you say doesn't compute for me, it must be the differing dialects as I previously stated. I think what we gain from not eliminating someone is, effectively, a crew member. Rather than losing 2 (odds point to this being what would happen if we eliminate someone immediately), we only lose 1. You're getting ahead of yourself after that, I think (or at least are getting the point of it all muddied with fears of what-if scenarios, don't let it happen, that is the intruders getting the better of you!)

It's about odds and I think intruders have more to gain by forcing a lynch than crew members have to lose from voting no-lynch. I'm merely trying to discuss the option, which seems to generate some negativity just for discussing it, and I find that suspicious (or at least irrational fear.)

avatar
JMich: Do clarify if you feel trentonlf misunderstood you.
It's all in the nuances, I suppose. I said it has me "more leaning towards the mentality of more likely" vs. what trentonlf said in his paraphrase of me, he said I was saying "anyone who is against a no lynch today is most likely a intruder?" That's not what I was saying AT ALL. He continues with " I think that would make most everyone here an intruder by that logic. "

Obviously I don't think everyone here is an intruder (currently I just think everyone has the POTENTIAL to be an intruder, this doesn't translate anywhere close to "I think it's possible everyone is an intruder.") And, actually, I don't think he misunderstands me, I think he understands very well, and is trying to twist my words and confuse the situation, as I said. You shouldn't worry about whether he understands me or not, really.

avatar
agentcarr16: Just for the record, I will vote no-lynch if I feel like it. Voting no-lynch immediately makes you a target, but I agree with your points.
Good to hear, thanks for sharing. Since I initiated the no-lynch discussion, I realized it has made me a target, but I feel like that is because the people here are playing some sort of game within a game rather than simply trying to logically deduce who the intruders are and eliminate them, which makes me uncomfortable all around and suspicious of them. It's quite simple logic to me: "If you want to eliminate someone from the group SO strongly that you are totally okay even if it is an erroneous choice, then you smell fishy to me."

I'm still on the fence with Ix (the reasons for intruder being high, and the reasons for not being also being very strong, so it balances, which makes me think it is possible he did a very good job of reducing his initial suspicion, which leads to more suspicion.) Moving up the suspicion list for me now are trentonlf, kyrpsyn, and dedeporno. mchack still seems innocent enough to me.)

mchack: please spell it out for the dimwitted like me.
No.

mchack: I mean you could just aswell not answer, instead of saying "heh.")
Astute.

avatar
HijacK: I think he just wanted to annoy you..
That, and it was the same question. I figured it deserved the same answer.
avatar
drealmer7: ...and while they are high on my suspect list, I also have reasons to completely remove them from the suspect list, and with such, am no where near ready to vote for them. It definitely seems like intruders could be pushing for elimination.) ...

Dedoporno always looks suspicious to me and I always ring dedos scum bells. I've come to the conclusion it's because we play a similar game but I just spew a lot more words out there. Our voting always seems close in "style" and in placement - though not where it falls. As such, I tend not to worry about dedo being scum because I'll most likely be wrong about it LOL.

I would however keep an eye on Crewdroog, especially if she ends up at or near the penultimate vote on me. A newbie playing this low, and especially Crew with nary a sardonic comment concerns me.

She is too busy trying to be adorkable. I give her a B+.
avatar
Vitek: Would you care to explain those reasons?
Eerrr, the reasons for him being an intruder or against him being an intruder or both? I suppose it is too general to say based on the progression of his behavior and things he's said and what all of that has added up to until now? Really, it is my own judgements based on how the situation has progressed, and it is all open to interpretation in multiple ways. It's somewhat hard to tell if misunderstandings between HSL and Ix are actually that, or subversive taunting by one or the other. How it is framed now, I would say HSL is more likely an intruder with Ix being a crew-member, but it could very easily be seen in another light that switches it around, or they could both be intruders or both crew-members, it just depends on how you look at it. Hence my reservation of judgement either way.

More and more likely in my mind are trentonlf and dedeporno. Ix is getting some focus and I think that might be what a few of the intruders want (which is part of why I feel suspicion lessens with him, but only in a certain way of looking at it.)

There's also krypsyn who is really mussing with my judgement, I can't tell if he's a little kid/developmentally disabled person excited to be camping out locked in a room with a bunch of grown-ups, or simply half out of his mind with space-sickness, simply excited to be chosen even though he doesn't know what he might be being chosen for (it's death, buddy), or, if he's an intruder sent to confuse everyone and cause a ruckus, or what. I still lean towards one of the prior likelihoods and think he's likely a crew-member, but I'm definitely keeping my eye on him.

I was doing the looney tunes eyes bugging out routine when I read that LOL.

@drealmer7, you said I'm moving up your suspicion list but you already had me at the top of it, how am I moving up the list? Are there people you see that we can not, are they telling you things and causing you to act in a very erratic manner? Just trying to understand where you're coming from.

I'm not sure what to make of it either. The play seems a *bit* different from my remembered interactions with HSL but I'm willing to concede he either truly believes I'm scum or he's setting a table to find lurking scum.

Unfortunately for me, there's also the fact that I'm a very good candidate to be the day one lynch. We've had a nice failed "mini-wagon," a fairly quick second wagon (made a bit more difficult to analyze by the fact that I still think there's AT MOST 1 scum on it), and there's no way I'll be night killed. Plus the "sudden deadline flock" is the greatest scum prophylactic I've ever seen and we want to avoid that at all costs.
