Does anyone else get the feeling that stats may have some actual in game effect this time?

I'm almost certain that they will come into play, just not sure how often.

No - in a game this big I think scum is best served staying low and letting us do the dirty work Day One - that's why I remarked I thought scum was on the sidelines.

And I DO think the Day One lynch vote is mostly random, yes.

It sucks for the townie that gets lynched (no I'm not making a controversial / alignment statement here - we're most likely going to lynch a poor random townie Day One) but it's needed to get the game rolling. I'm really not saying anything explosive here.

Not exactly - in my eyes, no one has yet really exhibited anything that screams scum to me. And based on the numbers in the game, I'm guessing scum isn't going to make a big Day One press to get someone lynched because we can handle that all on our own.

Yes I thought this as well. I'm guessing it's possible some "Night Actions" might be subject to a stat check. We'll have a better idea if actions fail to occur.

Thinking that they do. Figuring there will be scripted events that pop up in the overall narrative that require certain stats being high to complete.

Perhaps stats figure into your use of your Finger of Suspicion or some such thing?

Possibly as it would make sense, I mean why else put them in our PMs, but there is no way to know that unless everyone starts sharing their stats and I certainly hope we are not doing that.

Last game I paid a price for not putting down enough observations before I died, and what looked obvious to me wasn't to others. Apologies for what could be interpreted as LAMIST hubris, not my intent, but I do think that all else being equal, I could potentially be an attractive night kill target after the prior game. Just because.
