agentcarr16: I'm trying to keep mine as long as possible, but I'm resigned to its slow disintegration...
I used to have mine checked periodically, but then I lost it trading futures contracts. Maybe it will turn up in my freezer like my keys did after that weekend bender in college.

Adalia, are you a meatbag, a droid, or something else?
Captain's Log
Stardate -270819.904

Space Station Epsilon has been attacked by invaders. They have somehow scrambled the minds of both man and machine. While we still retain memory of self, we have lost all recognition of the others we've known. This has allowed these invaders to slip in among us unnoticed. Yesterday, the crew failed in its duty, many hiding away and others failing to cooperate. One even going so far as to propose mutiny. As a result, we lost “Spud” our favorite maintenance bot.

It is clear I have lost control of the crew. But back at the academy, my leadership adviser warned me this day could happen and he offered a suggestion....

If all seems hopeless, then the answer is to “flip the table” and that is what I'm doing.

I believe I have found a weakness in the resolve of the crew. They seem to hate this thing called “roleplaying” or RPing. So in order to regain their cooperation, I now am only going to respond to them through these Captain's Logs. My hope is this RPing will grate on them heavily such that they will be forced to cooperate quickly and fight against the invaders lest they continue to suffer the pain this RPing presents...

As Captain it is now my duty to inform the relatives of our fallen comrade. A serious duty, although I am a bit unclear on who the next of kin are to poor “Spud”. Worse, the communications department seems not to be answering. Does anyone work on this station anymore?

Pretty sure everyone is either gone, drunk or dead.

Krypsyn: JMich, on the other hand, is responsible for ... umm ...
Can we hold him responsible for fact that we didn't eliminate any one on the first day? I think that is reasonable.
I also wanted to note in that log-entry that I noticed JMich lurking around today, but not participating. It's not suggestive of anything, just thought I'd make the note of it. He seems no more suspicious to me, really.
Right. I'm back. Can anyone tell me what a Droid Maintenance Bot is? I'm assuming Vanilla, but damn that's a long name for something as simple as that. And since a townie flipped without the Station word in the rank who is going to be the next sucker to claim the game is broken?

One possibility is that HSL+Adalia are telling the truth that they are Coroner role implying a janitor role and that it was not a full reveal and that the maintenance bot was possibly a role with some sort of power that I can only begin to guess at what it would be. I am not wholly opposed to this being likely, am pretty much on the fence.

However this doesn't necessarily instill confidence in Adalia either:

adaliabooks: ... this isn't going to be easy....

...I can't explain Hyper's behaviour yesterday, I wouldn't even try. But I've had a couple of days to think about it and there are a few points that I can address.

As for finding Hyper's behaviour suspicious... like I say, there's not much I can do to address that. I didn't find too much off with his posting while following the game, other than perhaps being a little snarkier than usual... but I can see that others have chosen to take this as scuminess.
First, an pre-emptive excuse for not really giving us much of an excuse in the rest of the entry.

Adalia, you address no points as far as I see, really, but you make a claim to distract us from not addressing any of the HSL points (possibly?) You can't explain HSL's behavior, but you "didn't find too much off...other than perhaps being a little snarkier than usual..."

NOTHING else about any of it? 20 pages of log entries? Really? Either your heart isn't in it or you are trying to play it safe by not causing too much ruckus because you are an intruder, feeling trapped.

This doesn't have me even close to jumping on your wagon though, as, I only had medium issue with HSL so far until you took over, and it is still not enough to condemn him/you, just enough to keep an eye on you. There are others I find more suspicious and likely, still.

What do you have to say for the rest of yesterday? Any comments on any of it? You don't have to act like you said what HSL said, you can have your complete own unique view of it all and share it, or some of it, with us. Please.

That was my point, actually. I feel both Vitek and JMich prevented a lynch on Day 1. Whether or not flubbucket is town is irrelevant; it would have provided more information either way.

Also:

@RWarehall Ugh...

Day-kill: RWarehall

Dang, still doesn't work. :(

I'll just do this instead:

I thought it might have been, but I wanted to be direct and SAY it. After all that grief about the no-lynching and then the handful of people who effectively caused a no-lynch by their voting...wow...
EBWOP

Well, I unvoted the wrong person, but it doesn't matter. It was a joke anyway. Friggin' RP in a Mafia game ... ugh. :P

Apparently mutiny is on the mind of many. Strange since I pretty much stated my position from the beginning of the crisis. Sadly, I've been stuck on this station rather than a real starship. Rather than exploring the galaxy, I'm stuck doing resupply paperwork and administration. Let me tell you being in charge of a space station isn't all its cracked up to be, I might as well have been the governor of a colony instead. While apparently the crew are undisciplined enough to ignore my authority, at least the computer recognizes me during a crisis. Yes, yes, maybe I shouldn't have lied as much as I did, like "volunteering" for a mission I was going to go on anyway and pretending to be part of the crew. It was a nice touch, wasn't it. Wonder who I should select as the next crisis team? Would the crew even pay attention if the preliminary list were say: HijacK, Bookwyrm, Flubbucket and Adaliabooks?

And I did forget something last log...
Vote the mutinous traitor HijacK.
You really should pay more attention to the game, yes, its still broken...

RWarehall: ...
You're the CAPTAIN of this station, man?! And you're just saying so NOW?! That's not very captainly of you. It's goinig to be hard for me to trust you. What can you do to earn my trust, you think to yourself? What powers do you have besides the ability to assign the crisis group? Tell us everything you know. At this point, either the majority is going to think you are a liar and we're going to have Q.U.A.D. eliminate you today, or the fact that you've revealed your power will likely get you killed tonight by the intruders, if it is true (and if they don't NOT kill you in order to make you seem more suspicious the next day if you don't get killed today.)

If you are the captain...you've done a SHIT job, I must say.

Intruders have taken over part of the ship, if not everywhere else but here, as far as we can tell. What kind of security parameters do you have operating on this thing? Not good enough, that is for sure!

The A.I. is off its noggin', when was the last time you had that thing serviced with a good hard look at its routines and sub-routines?

Of course everyone is going ot ignore your authority, you are just claiming it now after all this time. If it is really true, you should have come out and said it at the beginning, or at least once the crisis started and, as you claim, formed the crisis group instead of now, after one of your crew, albeit a droid, has been killed. Do you take responsibility for that?

PLUS, we're all at each other's throats, paranoid beyond belief, and now you've gone and said the mutiny word? MYGODMAN! No wonder we're in the situation we're in, with you being captain. I'm tempted to want to eliminate you myself with all that has gone on!

But, I'll give it a little more time to fully judge.

What do others think the likelihood is that RWarehall DOES have the role of assigning the crew to the crisis, BUT is also an intruder? I ask this because I saw hints dropped before around the crisis time in D1 that made me think that RWarehall was going to be in charge of assigning it, so I am rather likely to believe it, however, it could all be BS, of course. So I simply want to know what you all think the likelihood of that possibility is, please.

Zero.
