Not at all, I thought it was incredibly well handled and I acutally think this followup post that I'm quoting also went a long way to nipping a nasty issue in the bud.

I think I have an idea of what happened yesterday.

Let me tell you all a little story, and thankfully trent is here to verify.

When I was modding my game, I took a great deal of care in my PMs. Colorful and full of flavor, I was quite proud of them, and double and triple-checked them all to make sure they were perfect. I had cristigale scrub them all as well. They were great. I was so happy. When the time came, I sent them all out and launched the game... one fat, dumb, and happy mod.

The only thing was that there was an unfortunate accident, involving a potted plant, a sperm whale, a pair of left-handed scissors, and the copy/paste function on my keyboard and... somehow I didn't send trentonlf his character's stats. Every player in the game had a set of stats - Town, Scum, Neutral... except trent. I had just messed up. He didn't know he was missing stats.

If I had logged into the game to find that trent was about to be lynched because everyone started the PM-measuring contest and he couldn't come up with the right information because it was MY fault... I would have flipped. I absolutely would have done what Quad did and stepped in. I might have phrased things a bit differently, but I would have stepped in to prevent a player from being lynched because of my mistake.

Fortunately, I caught my own error fairly quickly and was able to send trent his stats (and an apology) via PM before it got to that. Then he went and got himself lynched anyway and it was his own fault, not mine. ;)

Based on the reactions yesterday, I'm going to guess that "not everyone" has Station in their title means "not mchack".

Yogsloth speaks the truth, I just thought I didn't have stats because of my role (I was a seraph knight).

At least you didn't panic, and remembered to bring a towel.

I made the post because I hate other players making pleas to be specifically investigated to be cleared.

It makes no sense to investigate Agent at this time, cleared or not and here's why...
Now that he's revealed his role, he pretty much has to tell us what he learns. If something he claims is false, we've got him. Tracker is not a very helpful role for scum, so its rather unlikely it's a true claim but he's scum.

So, why do you feel a cop should waste their investigation on someone who we know so much about, when they can investigate someone who we know next to nothing about...

The latter gives us far more information....
