If he's a Town Vigilante, do you think that he'd lie about his role, especially after what happened last game? If he's scum or thrid-party he would be lying about his role, but that wouldn't make him a Town Vigilante.

From what I've read (and not only on the MafiaWiki):

- Normal Role Cops don't take anything from their targets.
- Normal Flavour Cops also don't take items from their targets.
- Normal Thieves do, and that's what distinguishes them from Flavour Cops.

Now, it looks like we don't have the standard normal roles in play, so here's a thought:
CSPVG was a Scum Pickpocket, so if he was a Thief who took items form his targets without being detected, then the town equivalent acting similarly (acting like scum and stealing items) could explain why the negative utility is triggered.
If CSPVG was also detected under certain circumstances, then the meaning of the twist could be something else entirely.

Additionally, trentonlf claims to have no control over the twist in his role, and he also claims to not know what determines his pass or fail of RWarehall's check (also unknown), which simply means that he's not given an option to decide on how to act.

And the structural difference in their name/faction/role line is still quite puzzling.

Do you recall why he was lynched last game? Do you think he would be eager to repeat said mistakes?

Did you also get any clue as to what flub's role actually is? Or what are you thinking it might be?

Judging by the descriptions of the items you got they could suggest either some kind of cop, a jailer or some kind of fugitive role...

What you've found doesn't necessarily clear flub, and depending how you look at it could suggest he is some sort of criminal just as much as it suggests he is a cop...
Admittedly combined with his avatar hint it would look like he is some kind of cop (or jailer? I don't recognise the character or what his exact role might be), it's unlikely he will have gotten a description of the items you took until you took them so he couldn't have chosen his picture based on that...

Well my thinking is that if trent has taken flub's money he might get booted off the show island (it kind of seems this will not be the case, but we only have trent's word of what RWarehall said for that), which would make it like a vig shot (or just a straight up kill). I never actually said he would be a town vig... if he is lying the assumption would be that he's not town.
I was wondering why he (if he were a vig rather than a flavour cop, and presumably anti town) would say anything about flub's possible role (to stop him being lynched). Why not just let flub get lynched if that's where things were headed? The only reason to speak up when he did (whether what he says is true or not) is to save flub; there are two reasons he might want to do that, if he is town and believes flub to be or if they are both scum or on the same third party team.
It was mostly speculation on what the other options might be if trent was lying (which doesn't look all that likely when you examine the other options)

Fair enough. and he did say that he learned his lesson.
Still, if you go back and re-read trentonlf's posts, you'll see that he tried to support his belief of flubbucket's towniness by revealing the absolutely minimum necessary about his role and night-action. He could of course have put up an act on this front, but I won't dismiss it as being true, at least not yet.



From my understanding, Vigilane is a traditional town role, and RWarehall is not keane on the role reversal thing, so I'm not sure that he would throw in a Mafia Vigilante, and if trentonlf's third-party, well he wouldn't exactly be a Vigilante, would he now?

And while it is trentonlf's word on what our fallen God replied to his PM, RWarehall already made a comment on the matter.

True. Like I said, it was speculation, following it through logically it doesn't seem likely, which suggests that trent's most likely telling the truth (or lying in a different fashion).

I don't think that entirely answers the question (besides, it doesn't match with what trent said, unless I misunderstood which night [real or game] he was referring to)

And while I do encourage people to post and discuss, I also encourage people to enjoy life and the weekend. Weekends are "free" as in, no one will be called out for not posting on any Saturday or Sunday.

Yes, and apparently also (conveniently) ignore anything that followed. Or act as if they do. In spite them talking about them in quite some detail.



So, am I to assume that you didn't wonder about it when you first got your role PM, or at least when you got your N1 action PM? Why not?

I did not wonder about it because there was nothing mentioned by RW in my role PM or on N1 other than I took the money for my wife's treatments. I figured if there was some negative connotation with it RW would have told me in my PM at the start of the game. I would actually hesitate to investigate anyone, unless I was pretty sure they were scum, if there was a negative result possible as that could be bad for town.

No, you were definitely right to tell us (I think...), if flub is town then we don't want to lynch him. If he is some kind of cop even more so.
Whether that's what what you found means is another question but we're better off knowing.
