You're not doing yourself any favours, you know that, right?
Is it time to address the question I asked CSPVG also to you?
If he's a Town Vigilante, do you think that he'd lie about his role, especially after what happened last game? If he's scum or thrid-party he would be lying about his role, but that wouldn't make him a Town Vigilante.
So, how did you come to the idea that he may Town Vigilante, and a delayed one at that?
Could you clarify/ elaborate on the part I highlighted? I don't quite follow.
From what I've read (and not only on the MafiaWiki):
- Normal Role Cops don't take anything from their targets.
- Normal Flavour Cops also don't take items from their targets.
- Normal Thieves do, and that's what distinguishes them from Flavour Cops.
Now, it looks like we don't have the standard normal roles in play, so here's a thought:
CSPVG was a Scum Pickpocket, so if he was a Thief who took items form his targets without being detected, then the town equivalent acting similarly (acting like scum and stealing items) could explain why the negative utility is triggered.
If CSPVG was also detected under certain circumstances, then the meaning of the twist could be something else entirely.
Additionally, trentonlf claims to have no control over the twist in his role, and he also claims to not know what determines his pass or fail of RWarehall's check (also unknown), which simply means that he's not given an option to decide on how to act.
And the structural difference in their name/faction/role line is still quite puzzling.
cristigale: I didn’t have a name at the start either. During day one, I asked RWarehall about it and he gave me one. I think he made it up on the spot, so I doubt it has any meaningful connection to my role.
Form what we got from the flips, and after RWarehall's comment on the matter, you doubt that there's any meaningful connection between your name and your role? I wonder if your name paints you in less than favourable colours, and you're laying the ground for when it is revealed - and I don't mean after you flip. cristigale: You’re right. Flavour Cop is more fitting in both instances. Trent claimed Role Cop and I had it stuck in my head.
Emm... no, trentonlf did not [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_mafia_30_murder_they_wrote/post858]Role Cop. Is it time to address the question I asked CSPVG also to you?
adaliabooks: Sorry for the lack of posting yesterday. I wasn't feeling it, and I was a little busy...

You forgot the "shameless plug" part. ;-P [...]

These are some good points... it's possible that trent's role is also (actually?) some sort of delayed Vig... but that begs the question of why would he reveal that fact, unless he needs flub to be booted off for losing his fee rather than being voted off? Or he's scum/neutral and just wants more people gone.

Also, it makes sense that CSPVG and trent have similar roles as the flavour of trent's sounds like a thief / pickpocket, but why was CSPVG's flip Pickpocket whereas trent's claim is Role / Flavour Cop?
This is something that puzzles me too. Also, it makes sense that CSPVG and trent have similar roles as the flavour of trent's sounds like a thief / pickpocket, but why was CSPVG's flip Pickpocket whereas trent's claim is Role / Flavour Cop?
JMich: Flub's first reply to trentonlf was in post 836. From previous games, I'm under the impression that the flavor/role cops do take the items they find with them, though trentonlf does mention in post 855 that he only takes the items if he fails his check.
It is possible that flub also thought the same about the flavor/role cop taking the items, so he just mentioned the item trentonlf didn't mention, aka the money, or money's as trentonlf called them.
So, it's not possible that trentonlf, if he's town, he did not want to spill all the beans at once? It is possible that flub also thought the same about the flavor/role cop taking the items, so he just mentioned the item trentonlf didn't mention, aka the money, or money's as trentonlf called them.
