dedoporno: That is the only thing stopping me from voting for him (and the hesitation over books), but keep in mind that he himself stated a few times in previous games that he will make sure his behavior shifts between games in such a way so it doesn't follow a pattern.

The more things change, the more things stay the same.
In other words, the more a person tries to change how they act, the more they draw attention to those aspects of their demeanor they are, for one reason or another, unable to change. This is the main reason I asked HijacK for ibuprofen ... err additional clarification.

dedoporno: That was my point. You do realize that a reactionary vote as you called it is exactly what OMGUS is, right?
Yes, and no. OMGUS is more of an over reaction than your common reaction of a force. But I see what you're saying. I guess we value the weight of OMGUS votes differently. Who are you to say there are bound to be people scummier to me than BlueMooner? Your vote seems to be cast based on unfounded assumptions. I'm smelling a team effort here... or maybe it's the new players again.
It's not the first time yogsloth has done/argued for something stupid, so no, I don't push his wagon solely for that reason. I may hammer it, since 1 thing stands true: We need to confirm his alignment in order to check whether his statements can be taken as true. But I'm not going out of my way to beat a dead horse. Not the first time he's done something like this, not the first time I disagree, not the last of these either. And who knows? He may even have a plan, so what do I know? But no, the fact that you're trying to force me to change my vote and go on a more viable wagon earns you massive suspicion from me. You're trying to push for a lynch here, simple as that.
Because bitches be trippin'. But to add to your observation: Depends. Last game adalia attempted a sort of attack as well when he accused me of being scum and nothing really happened. It all depends on a variety of factors. Can you take a guess at them?
Hmmmmmm. Not sure whether to award brownie points for admittance of fault, or shit points for excusing before vote. This is a serious conflict.
You know what's funny? Last night I was just hanging around the main office and I meet this hot chick talking to one of my DA friends. So I tag along and join the conversation. After talking and talking, and her hot roommate joining us too (how come hot chicks always have other hot chicks as roommates?), I find out she just broke up with an asshole that treated her like crap. Ain't no woman like the one with a broken hart, so I just might be the one to mend it back. ;) And if it doesn't work.... well, there's always the roommate.
Krypsyn: Why do you feel that a new player, BlueMooner, asking about No Lynch is worse than a seasoned player, agentcarr16, actually voting for No Lynch?
It's a very good question, but what I see faulty here is that I did not vote BlueMooner solely on the basis of suggesting a no-lynch. It is my fault that I let him drive the discussion solely on that point a few posts ago, but in my initial post I also pointed out that I did not like the way he was going about with his questions: It looked like info fishing, more akin to role fishing given the fact in the context of the questions (where he was questioning why I didn't announce my absence from yogsloth's post) I can't find myself knowing much besides my own role that would justify not announcing that misplay. In fact I just overlooked the hole situation having not realized the scale of the number of players playing. And then there's also the fact that he attempted to make the whole situation look like I committed foul play, something that scum did or took advantage of in previous games, so that just pings the scum radar to me. It's not all about noo-lynch. As a matter of fact that was the weakest of points to me in spite of being the second one named.

Lifthrasil: Last game he was scum and that was the only game where he was actually nice and mellow. So I'll trust an agressive HijacK more than a friendly one.
Oh snap. So you'll vote for me if beginning with day 2 I go back to friendly and mellow? In the Space Opera game it was the other way around. I don't know. Last game went pretty well. Might try to play differently beginning with day 2. It's all funzies on day 1 when there's nothing to do, but then we get info and I need to analyze stuff. Heh. The game turned into a desk job routine.

Right. I don't dismiss that concern as out of hand. Your other concerns are less clear cut for me, however.

So, why add it at all? Judging from hearsay, I suppose it did at that.

Fair enough.
I understand your role-fishing point (although I am skeptical), I think your "too friendly" argument is a bit flimsy, and your no-lynch argument is also quite weak (at least for the reasons you stated). It seems a lot like trying add arguments against someone whom you can be fairly certain won't be confirmed one way or the other any time soon (he is new, after all) to make it seem like legitimate scum-hunting.

Krypsyn: You just wanted to give me a headache, didn't you?
Krypsyn: I think I'll try ibuprofen first.
That wasn't actually my purpose, but you might want to try ibuprofen, yeah. Krypsyn: I think I'll try ibuprofen first.
Lifthrasil: But then he raised two flags: using FoS (which he retracted when called out on it) and worse, actually voting no-lynch. Especially the last one still seems scummy to me on Day 1. agentcarr, would you care to explain once more, what possible benefit for town a no-lynch on Day 1 is supposed to have? Especially if the benefit is so big, that you, being aware of the possible consequences (you get lynched), still take the deliberate choice to vote no-lynch? You must have a quite strong reason to do so.
Bringing up FoS was a mistake on my part. I was reading over a few of the early games, like #'s 4 and 5, I believe, and it was something that they used and argued about every bit as much as the votes. I should have figured that there was a reason that it has fallen out of use. But when I saw BlueMooner Pressure CSPVG, I couldn't resist bringing it up. On the topic of no-lynch, I think that there has been a lot of discussion about yogsloth's role claim, and I mean a lot of discussion. If yogsloth is nightkilled during N1, then on Day 2 I will have a wealth of information regarding possible/probably alignments. If yogsloth is not nightkilled during N1, then on Day 2 I will have an definite confirmation of alignment for him and we will have yogsloth's night action to work with.
My vote for no-lynch is based on current feelings and reactions, and I would be quite willing to change it if I saw something that seemed scummy. However, I feel that with the high possibility of lynching Town, and the abundance of data that we will have in the morning, no-lynch is a fine option.
Don't get me wrong, I think that most, even the vast majority, of the time no-lynch is bad choice on Day 1, but this time it's a viable option. IMO.

It's not based on much, that's true. But that's the pickle I'm in with voting for anyone. I have stated whatever reasoning I had. No team effort, but new player indeed. HijacK: It's not the first time yogsloth has done/argued for something stupid, so no, I don't push his wagon solely for that reason. I'm not trying to force you to do anything. Especially not changing your vote to yogsloth. I have him down as town atm, remember? I just voiced my thoughts and if indeed Bluemooner is for you the scummiest person in this game, then that's fair enough. HijacK: Because bitches be trippin'. But to add to your observation: Depends. Last game adalia attempted a sort of attack as well when he accused me of being scum and nothing really happened. It all depends on a variety of factors. Can you take a guess at them?
Yeah, it wasn't all that bad as I thought for me either. Quite reasonably actually :) Yeah I understand that's not the way to go and I wouldn't have apologised if I had you down as (reasonably) sure scum. I don't. You may well be town and if so and you really get lynched: I am sorry. that's a fact. But then again I have to vote for someone (barring no-lynch) and at least 3-4 of us 14 have to be scum. Gotta start somewhere, and you are my choice.

The fact that he's new doesn't mean anything to me. I don't cut slack like others, and neither do you, which is why I'm actually suspecting you of being scum. Game #22 you never hesitated as scum to lynch new players. 3 days in a row as a matter of fact. This new found protection for them sounds like wifom grounds to just hop on one of the viable trains.I understand your role-fishing point (although I am skeptical), I think your "too friendly" argument is a bit flimsy, and your no-lynch argument is also quite weak (at least for the reasons you stated). Don't get me wrong, I think your reasons for voting for BlueMooner are crap, but I like this response. From other people, probably not, but from you it is the only right answer.
The Werewolf game, and your first game, right? I haven't looked at the number, to double check, but it would make sense for you to bring it up. That was a game with many new players, as I recall, so potential targets were limited. However, you are technically correct, I did hammer a newbie on Day 1 for town points, and I did go after you pretty hard on Day 2.
