flubbucket: The only difference would come if we all knew the setup going into the game.
We know the flavor is a reality show. They are all about over-acting, hyperbole, personal vendettas, and people just generally talking out of their ass. If roles have been designed along these lines as well, then it gives me a reasonably hypothesis on yogsloth's actions.

'Nuff said.

agentcarr16: That's a secret :)

It all depends on what it is that I think I understand about yogsloth's claim.
Gee, thanks.

On a side note, the mod edited his post - will the edit elves punish him? ;-P

Mods are deeply narcissistic people who feel they are better than the unwashed masses and more powerful than any edit elves. Rules do not apply to them...

Hmm... how come you weren't even allowed to set foot on the island then?

flubbucket: My vote for yogsloth is based on the early claim of town cop. However WIFOMy it seems, it isn't town. Whatever his alignment reveals to be, it isn't town behavior.

Opening the game (so to speak) with this claim will not serve town well because it is distracting and unverifiable at this juncture. The only difference would come if we all knew the setup going into the game. If we knew there was a cop, doc, and roleblocker and the rest vanilla.

To go along with the claim would be tantamount to labeling yogsloth obvitown, and that's foolish.
Caught a short moment, this will be quick...
@those voting yogs...I agree that at face value, claiming cop when yogs did is bad for town. I can't help but think there must be something extra to his role that made claiming in the first post a decent risk (if he is town)

Photos done, off to the ceremony.

HijacK: You just love poking wasp nests with a stick, don't you? :P Are you also in the stick pinata giveaway?
Well, yeah. This looks weird to me. CSPVG voted for yog after yog voted for CSPVG. Then CSPVG unovted yog just after yog unvoted CSPVG. The whole interaction feels weird but I can see some reasons at least for yog's part of it (the unvote came after the whole deal with lynch the useless/lurkers and even though this may not really be the case the unvoting seemed like it was extending the apology). CSPVG's unvoting on the other hand seems to lack any sort of reasoning, so it automatically makes the original vote look like OMGUS. OMGUS is not cool, even more so in the current situation.

Lifthrasil: vote Yogsloth
See? This re-vote makes sense to me. Lift said he will remove the original vote in order to prevent premature end of the day (yeah, like that was going to happen :D) but he found time to drop by, saw what is going on and decided to stick to his original opinion. Even though I don't entirely agree with his views I respect his opinion and the fact that he is consistent with it.

HypersomniacLive: I'd also like to hear CSPVG's answer to dedoporno's question (post #444)
Yep, so do I, mate. So do I.
I believe yogs does have some sort of Cop role. As to which side and exactly what role I am unsure but right now I am leaning town for him.

RWarehall: Saturday noon vote count:

....<OMG>...........

Not voting: JMich, HypersomniacLive, Dedoporno, McHack, Sage103082, Yogsloth and CSPVG

....<OMG>...........
You all are going to wait until the last minute to Vote?!?!

....scummy??

HypersomniacLive: so there's a chance that you may be advocating for the lynch of a town player, perhaps even a town power role
There's a chance to be advocating for the lynch of a town player and town power role also in the case of one reading the player wrong or unfavorably. I'm not one to call for the lynch of lurkers, but I don't like how you try to paint their case, especially since you mostly just ask questions. When was the last time you shared thoughts?

I think your picking at straws there. While the situation was obviously tense, it only makes sense for CSPvegie to unvote to completely diffuse it. If the vote for yog was a reactionary one due to seeing the fault in the very reason of the vote, it only makes sense if yog changed his mind to also unvote. Take it like a function that has a constant rate of change. Now should yogsloth still be under suspicion for that vote? Yes. Especially from CSPvegie since he directly reacted with a vote. Should the vote still be in place after the unvote from yogsloth? Debatable. Maybe. Maybe not. Given how fast the game escalated I deem it was the right choice from a meta perspective. But that is just me. It seems CSPvegie hasn't answered yet.
Right. Total prod prevention post. Work has been manic and I haven't even been able to get signal there to post or read from my phone...

Had a quick skim but will catch up tomorrow evening and post.

Side anecdote: We're catering at a lovely little music festival and there's a lot of little local bands and cover bands playing. I thought the headline tonight was a The Jam cover / tribute band, turns out it was actually The Jam... (or at least two of them) which was pretty awesome. Didn't come for a pizza unfortunately (although we did feed The Real Thing's backing band last night) but we still got to hear them play.
