***Of course you can always vote someone off before that***
[I think the "edit elves" are falling asleep]

Bagatha Chrustie reporting in again.
There has been a little vote jostling...
Still trying to figure out who this GoG support person is...
11 players already appearing in the morning session.
You'd almost think there was an appearance requirement in the contract.
Speaking of contracts, have the big honchos talked about giving me a raise yet?
I am the only constant on the show!
I am a megaphone!

adaliabooks: Happy everyone?
Nope. I'm never happy.

As a matter of fact, six out of seven dwarfs aren't happy.

Bah, only one is truly grumpy...

dedoporno: Well, yeah, I hear where you're coming from but consider the fact that this is BlueMooner's first game after all. He stated that he already does this outside the game, it's not that weird he does it here as well. He will eventually learn about buddying and stuff but I feel you overreacted a bit there :) Same goes for the no-lynch. By all means, scold him about it and explain why it usually isn't a good idea but go all out on him again seems a bit like assaulting an easy prey.

I don't say new players have to get a free pass on every little thing they do but so far BlueMooner didn't say anything I wouldn't expect from a new player and I do see your response as a bit of an overreaction. Not sure if there is something behind it or not, you may end up being right in the end, but I still feel you're getting at him stronger than necessary right now, both in the context of him being new and the actual stuff he said and did.
It's nothing that I didn't do with cristi or ddickinson in their first game and they got good quite fast. Time will tell.

HypersomniacLive: Is this a serious question?
More than serious.

HypersomniacLive: Since when does a standard Role Cop, town or scum, get results on alignment?
Tell me. Are you even reading the thread? Let's analyze the situation: Trent put that possibility yog is scum Role Cop (later corrected himself, but what he actually said makes some sense).
I point out that a scum role cop already knows who is non-scum, meaning he has no idea between town and natural, but assumes most are town. Thus scum role cop can claim your average cop and, for obvious reasons, have a high probability of getting all "reads" right, which are in fact fabricated. Going back to the neutral comment: The only chance for a scum to get caught in this ploy would be to falsely claim someone town when that someone is neutral and counter claims.
Prod preventing post. Will try to catch up later tonight though.

Except that trentonlf based his whole analysis on the assumption that yogsloth is either Town Role Cop or Scum Role Cop. Here's what he actually said:
1. If he's truly Town role cop, scum will either kill or block him and his role is wasted. If scum are able to hit a power role on N1 it makes the game much easier for them.
2. There is a good chance he's actually a scum role cop and wants to use this as cover to hunt for other roles at night but just say during the day he was blocked.
He based his whole analysis on the assumption of a "Town Role Cop" claim, and he did not suggest what you're saying here. I understand "this as cover" to refer to the "Town" part of the claim. If I misunderstood this, I ask trentonlf to step in and clarify.
Now, if your intention was to take this a step further, why not just say that any scum could claim Town Cop?

And how is my explanation of what he said any different? I already mentioned he corrected himself as to what power role he was talking about, but in his mistake he actually made sense.

I did not say he suggested it, just that it actually made sense.

I don't understand. Is there a restriction for scum not to claim such a role? Albeit it's not really efficient in the case we are presented with, but this could be indeed a potential play.

Yes, my bad for trying to post a link with my phone. It was inconsequential, so I'll let it go.

No, no, you must be punished!

(I just wanted an excuse to post that link. :P)
Right, I feel I should mention that things get pretty crazy for me from tomorrow and I may not be able to be around much.
Catering at a music festival all weekend rather than attending one, but if it's anything like it was last year there will be times I can get on on my phone and read / post.

I will certainly, at the very least, place a vote before the deadline, however I've no idea where. Right now yogs is the most viable wagon, but while I wish he might give us a bit more to go on I do feel he is probably telling the truth and it's not really worth risking lynching him day 1.
Everyone is mostly in a pool of equal scuminess for me, I think agent might be my top choice; for going after Lift so strongly and then dropping it suddenly, but it's really not much to go on and I don't see a successful wagon forming there. That doesn't mean that I won't throw a vote his way if nothing better comes up (and, right now, that seems pretty likely) just that I wouldn't have much confidence in him actually being scum or being able to secure a lynch on him.
Just finished first day of classes, so I'm catching up on the thread. I'll try to comment later tonight when I have the desktop to quote with.

Yes, that was the link. Thanks! The address starts with an 'm', which I assume implies a mobile device. Will a laptop or regular pc read that link?
