yogsloth: The deadline and the number of players. Nothing more complicated than that. Nothing sinister implied.
I personally love the idea of a fast-paced game. That shouldn't surprise anybody. But with an even number of players, it takes, what, 56% of the players to agree on one candidate in a shortened time span? I'd love to be optimistic, but I'm doubtful to say the least.
I think your being overly pessimistic. Give it till 24 hours till the deadline and someone will be lynched like that *snaps fingers* I personally love the idea of a fast-paced game. We're nothing if not quick to randomly lynch someone in the face of a deadline.
But thanks for the answer.
Considering the use of card analogies going on... is that your poker face? ;)

Oops.
This...
Should have been this...
I messed up the quote tags by referring to Post 149 instead of Post 199.
This...
JMich: On the other, your seeming confidence in the belief that yogsloth's town status, your quick climb down after Lifth's explanation, and what I would consider a strange belief that a 100% confirmed townie would have to lie for some reason (something quite drastic or bizarre would have to take place for this to even happen)

Ahh... perhaps it was... in which case I should remove my vote. I am uncertain.
I had a theory about what he is doing, however, and it is really the only one that makes sense to me. He has indicated that he has no clue to what I am alluding, however, so that just leaves a player role-claiming without provocation. I find this extremely anti-town and worthy of a vote.

Ah, I try to match what players actually use, but I might have messed one up. Looks like I did. Sorry BlueMooner.

So. Where is everyone?
I'm going to put it out there that I'm unwilling to vote for yogs, while I'm really struggling to see his claim in any kind of pro town light, I can't see any situation where it makes sense as scum, and JMich's point that other's seem to understand his actions and some of those are likely town suggests there is something to what ever the hell he is doing.
Who would I vote for?
Agent is probably on that list, Lift maybe a little further down it and well... pretty much everyone else too.
It's getting late, but I'll try and do a reread tomorrow and narrow that down to those who have contributed less or made any slips I might have missed.

None whats so ever? How about he is not scum but some other alignment with a win condition that needs to be met in some way or shape. How about causing doubt enough to make sure he stays in the game long enough to do whatever his win condition says to do. - not saying I think he is scum or anything else. As of right now I am unsure myself to his alignment and honestly I can guess where he is going but that's just a guess I have no true idea. As for voting right now I think I am going to wait until closer to a dead line to start throwing out names. Right now I feel that naming names is going to give scum an idea of which way they can push the game to get a lynch.

But that's just it, ok we're not leaping all over him to lynch him (but he couldn't have guaranteed that would be the reaction), but if he is plain old scum and just lying then there is almost guaranteed to be a role in the game that will catch him out, and he's almost guaranteed to be investigated based on his actions. Practically any kind of cop bar a flavour cop would likely disprove his alignment or role claim, a tracker would catch him if he made the kill instead of investigating. Even if that doesn't happen, he has to throw out a result each day or we will start getting suspicious, that's easy enough to do as scum but each day he gives out another townie name is another confirmed town for us, even if he slips a scum buddy or too in there he has to be careful that person isn't caught in a lie because he is outed then too. And ever day he lives without getting NK'd raises his suspicion level. Claiming cop is really bad for scum despite seeming like a good claim (easy enough to pull off and too dangerous to risk lynching) as it's very difficult to keep going long term.
So maybe he's a Jester. If so he's failed miserably at getting himself lynched, I could give him some pointers on that one.
And maybe he's something else entirely, but I'm gonna go with Occams razor on this one and say the simplest answer might just be the right one.
Yogs is an idiot.
No wait, I mean yogs is town and telling the truth.
