mchack: good question. I also don't see why it has to be one of you three today. It makes sense, in that each of you could be scum, but so could HSL or Sage or Bluemooner or Cristigale.
True, especially Sage and Blue are so rarely present that they are hard to get a read on. So if we can't agree on someone who looks the most suspicious, I would also be willing to lynch a lurker - that served us well with CSPVG. But I would prefer to lynch someone who actually looks suspicious. If that doesn't eliminate scum, the lurkers are next. As long as we keep some of the 'almost certified townies' alive, we win. Another question: what about a mass claim? Do we still gain anything from it? I think we missed our big opportunity to basically end the game prematurely. As was discussed on Day 2 a mass claim before all the details of the town role structure were out would have had a high chance of breaking the game. The majority decided against it, though. But is there any point in claiming today? It might at least get some talking. But it isn't as big an advantage for town any more as it would have been on Day 2. What do you all think?

Hi, I'm Angus, but friends call me Jack. Jack of All Trades. I'm also Town. I was Confused at first but with the help of our self-help guru I became more confident and my powers started to work again.
I posses 3 1-shot abilities of which I already used up 2 during the nights so far. The shortcoming of my role was that I was able to use my abilities but they would have whiffed out without any result whatsoever (still use them up in the process).
On Night 1 I protected Yogsloth as a 1-shot Doctor, since I figured scum didn't know for sure he wasn't unlocked. I gambled with the chance of not facing a role-blocker and unfortunately came up short in that bet. It was still a good bet, though.
On Night 2 I investigated Lift as a 1-shot Cop. He came clean. I didn't want to collide investigations with Yog if he survived once again and Lift seemed scummy enough at that moment to make a good target. The plus side was that if he seemed scummy enough scum could have went for him with a pretty plausible excuse after.
Between the people who attract most suspicion right now flub and trent both named Lift (one mention was for a main vote and another as a secondary). On the other hand books didn't mention Lift at all even though Lift did and say some questionable stuff (he could be Godfather, too).
How does this affect your views of the situation? The question is directed to everyone.

HypersomniacLive: Going after mchack doesn't have the immediate benefit that eliminating the Town Cop has:
- there's a backup in play that would take over the very next Day, and
- every unrestricted role is a potential threat to scum only a Night later.
Very true, but it makes sense for scum to take him and HijacK out before they can unrestrict too many town power roles. - there's a backup in play that would take over the very next Day, and
- every unrestricted role is a potential threat to scum only a Night later.
I'm not sure what you mean by that. mchack's power appears to be a day power, so the unrestricted role is free to use their ability straight away (dedo seems to confirm this as he used a power both nights)
No, it means that I assume they have a role blocker. Yogs' claims to have been blocked N1 and as he has flipped town we can assume he was telling the truth (he may have misunderstood the nature of the visit, but unless it was dedo's protection he 'felt' then we can probably assume scum targeted him with something that night).

As much as I've thought it was the best idea ever in the beginning of day 2, I now think it would be just a huge spoiler, taking away all the surprises this game might have left for us. (i.e. there have to be third parties around etc) If we work together in finding scum (I'll sure try, but I know I'm quite the noob at it still) I'm sure we can win without a massclaim and if not, well then so be it. At least there's gonna be something unknown to uncover each day ;) So I think one or two claims per day is enough... Speaking of Claims:

Not saying you should be in a top players to be lynched faction, but that you should be considered as a viable lynch target aswell. It's as flubs said if you were scum you are having one great game. You don't say anything about yourself (to me at least ;) but are steering the way people look at each other by selecting who to give "the full HSL Treatment" as yogsloth put it. (btw another one that you questioned alot, which is maybe the reason I'm wary of you, but he somehow had you down as town anyway. Probably saw what I'm not seeing) Anyway it's nothing personal, against your playstyle or anything, I just don't like people not being considered as lynch targets without any solid reasons. Maybe it's because I've got burned so badly last game, when I, for the live of me, never considered Bookwyrm to be scum... But then again he did claim...
Ah I think I'm not going anywhere with this. Please let's just work together and don't mind me too much when I'm looking scrutinizingly at your posts missing all of important bits ;)
HypersomniacLive: I'm obviously talking to trentonlf, and neither BlueMooner nor HijacK is who I'm referring to with the term "scum buddy". You really want to find something to pin on me, don't you?
Call it the full mchack treatment ;P *joking* no actually I was earnestly confused, because I didn't see how voting for someone and asking him to get a replacement can be covering someone.
But I think I get it now, you're saying the vote isn't real (he did say it's only a prod vote) and getting a replacement might be saving him from getting lurker-lynched right now. which would be bad for trent if both were scum.
Much to learn I have...

I wasn't role-blocked. Yog was (or so he said, but there is no reason to doubt that). My point is that I chose to protect him since he was the top priority for the NK because scum couldn't know whether or not he was unrestricted. If scum didn't have a role-blocker or other way to prevent his investigation not killing was would have been a very big risk. Which means that if they tried to gun him down I would have prevented the NK entirely. But they managed to both handle the cop and NK another person at the same time. I don't know if I understand that correctly. Is there anything in your pm that indicates you or yogsloth were roleblocked, or is it just what yogs said about being sure he'd been roleblocked?
Nah, it's all going according to plan ;) I have kept my coolest power for last. Also, I king of doubt I'll die tonight, but if I do it will be worth it :)

I need to do a re-read on Lifthrasil, and his interactions with others, but I will say that I don't quite get, nor like, his recurring insistence on a mass-claim.
Also, adalibooks has focused solely on the three you named in your post #1126. Perhaps you should have directed the same question you asked trentonlf (post #1135) at him. Not sure what the value now would be.

@mchack Hyper was questioning me because I prod voted BlueMooner because I felt he was not participating enough in the game yet I gave Sage a pass. He felt I might be letting my personal relationship with Sage cloud my judgement and cause me to give Sage more leeway than I should. I do admit I knew Sage was leaving town and had not posted because of that and I have no knowledge of what BlueMooner is doing so I voted him to get his attention, but I would not let any relationship I have with anyone outside the game effect the game itself. If people feel I have done that I apologize as that was never my intent.
Everyone gets a pass during the weekend, so that was never the point. I'll take your word that you're not driven by personal feelings, but that begs even more the question why you're so lax with her almost non-existent partaking. Do you have her down as town? How did I completely discard the possibility of Lift being a Godfather? Because I said I would remove him from my list of suspects? I am unable to investigate anyone at this time and as far as I know we have no other role available to check Lift so how is it possible for that possibility to be checked right now? Should we lynch him just to see? I would think not, so I am going to go with dedo's read and remove Lift from my list of suspects. Everyone gets a pass during the weekend, so that was never the point. I'll take your word that you're not driven by personal feelings, but that begs even more the question why you're so lax with her almost non-existent partaking. Do you have her down as town? My vote on BlueMooner was a prod, nothing more. It was not a "I think you're scum and need to be lynched" vote. I stated when I placed the vote it was too get a response from him. You keep trying to make my vote more than that, and it was not. If I was to place a vote for a lynch I would do so with a reason more than a prod.
Has Sage's play been her normal helpful and town play, not as much as I would like to see. Has Sage tried to be helpful when she has posted, yes I think she has for the most part. I also think BlueMooner was when he was posting, I just want him to get back into the game. As I said to Hijack, the first game we played GreenDigitalWolf (I think that's who it was) stopped posting altogether and that was part of the reason town lost and I don't want to see that happen again. I was more concerned with it happening with BlueMooner than I was Sage.

I looked at him and what he did all night and concluded that he is "Town".
OK, deadline is at the door again. I believe either one of the three people of interest has a good amount of reasons for being lynched.
Trent - stopped a forming wagon on flub and then conveniently lost his powers. Right now there is no way to confirm him and I believe granting him his supposed powers back is just a waste of time and action anyway. We might as well confirm his read on flub.
Flub - so far he hasn't done anything in favor of the Town, conflicted Yog until the very last moment, then suggested one of the (in my opinion) easiest lynch targets. Got on Krypsyn's wagon at the very end. Didn't get on CSPVG's wagon but stayed on Yog's. We might as well confirm Trent's read on him.
Books - Suggested random lynching once again. Remained on HijacK's wagon when CSPVG's happened even though a bunch of people backed the self-help guru theory. Refused to get on Krypsyn's wagon and just to spite Yogsloth and potentially protect himself from being pursued by Yogsloth further. Still holds suspicion towards the gurus even though they are but confirmed by all kinds of bits and pieces.
I would go with books but I believe the Flub/Trent duo is the more logical choice since it's almost certainly 2 birds with 1 stone.
Flub is concerning me more and I prefer to go for him even though Trent says he's already debilitated.
The surviving player would be pursued depending of the flip of his counterpart and potentially on some nightly reports. Same goes for books.
vote flub
trentonlf: My vote on BlueMooner was a prod, nothing more. It was not a "I think you're scum and need to be lynched" vote. I stated when I placed the vote it was too get a response from him.
That's the looooongest prod I have ever witnessed. So long it's not even funny. OK, deadline is at the door again. I believe either one of the three people of interest has a good amount of reasons for being lynched.
