Why? The thought I had was for a user to be able to modify a number of posts each day equal to his stars, or if that was deemed as too low, say 1 post per day for every 100 rep. How often do you wish to uprep/downrep multiple posts per day?

JMich: The one part I would ask for with insults is for the person being insulted to be the one to complain. If someone calls me a retard, a fag, an asshole, or any kind of slur (are there racial slurs for Greeks btw? Which ones?), I should be the only one to say if it was or wasn't an insult. That would also take care of any fake accusations, assuming of course a user doesn't insult any alts/impersonators.

And do recall that some countries do use quite a bit of profanity during social interaction, as was evidenced with UnEpic and the game's profanity. What you deem an insult may not be one for the person being addressed.
Valid point! Just as a thought only: I do keep in mind that the forum is for +13 year old, how about those? (like if you know a user fitting this).

Greek slur? you got me stumbled. If YOU don;t know, how shall we :P

Actually, I already sent a very lenghty text of suggestions to Fables22 earlier through the chat so he/she's aware of some things and possibilities. As I did the same thing when Konrad was the temporary CM and it gave no results, I'm staying a bit on the fence before joining the "A New Hope" party in this thread ;)

It's not. The forum is for adults, or for 13+ with adult permission. A 13 year old should not be making an account on this site, and the legal guardian takes responsibility instead. Section 1.4 of the User Agreement.

JMich: No. Hiding the forum behind a paywall is not a good idea, for various reasons. What happens with developers that wish to bring their game to GOG, what about various user accounts used to run things, what about the new people who wish to learn about the store before spending money? What about people who join to take advantage of connect or a free game offer and have questions?

Paywalls for forums are bad.
Oh, all five of those people? The paywall I suggest is only behind the general forum, just add a support forum. Not that I think there's enough demand to bother with it.

And you know what's worse for forums? Ineffective moderation, which is the fate of not curbing down on alt accounts. Got any better suggestions?

Yes. It's not so much the alt accounts that are the problem, as to what said accounts can do. Strip their ability to modify rep, maybe stop their ability to start PM conversation (though if PM conversation starts, they can reply). What is left for the alt accounts to do is post in the forum, and the report spam ability already takes care of such spam/troll/harassing posts. Should an account raise too many flags, the blues can suspend its posting privileges, temporary or not.

Did I miss an issue with alt accounts?

It would be a matter of principle.
When the attack started one year ago I had 750+ rep, and after ~6 months I reached zero.
I post almost daily, so I should have been at 1500 or something by now..

Not exactly. It's similar to taking your charge to a casino. Your charge shouldn't be allowed there by themselves, but you, their guardian, take responsibility for them. The casino doesn't have to prevent the minor from being exposed to gambling, because you, their guardian, take responsibility.
Unsure if they could be allowed to gamble or not, that probably differs for each jurisdiction.

Can't you see the relevance?
If rep became meaningful again (you said: 1 post per day for every 100 rep), then yes, I'd want it back.
