After a lot of discussion, peple grew more and more suspicious of Bookwyrm and he was forced to admit, that he had been lying. He claimed to have done it for the Corporation and the little band of loyal employees and some believed him. Others, however, did not. Finally it was docbear, who had enough: "You are a liar and TriOptimum rules state explicitly we shouldn't lie. So you are not loyal and I accuse you of being corrupted by that ... whatever is going on here!"

They dragged Bookwyrm to the med bay and docbear hit the button that activated the lethal injection. And the post mortal investigation. But woe, the brain that was found in dead Bookwyrms head was definitely human and in his belongings there was nothing special found either.

Bookwyrm is dead. He was a vanilla corporate employee.

The lights flicker on again. Were they slower this time? It almost felt like the gradual Dawn which the Day-Night simulation should be. Somewhere a bird sings.
You look around and find everyone alive. But unfortunately the real danger is not so easily visible. That cult Leonard spoke of is not out to kill you, but to do things to your brain. Who knows who is still himself and who is already working for that crazy AI? Only time will tell who will prevail.

Who should we lynch today?

If there are 4 in the Cult, then Ix was the CL. Otherwise it'd be game over.
Otherwise, there are 3 in the Cult.

No kamikaze means 3 possibilities to me:

1.) Ix was CL and is neutralized, but I also don't think he would have used it anyway if CL because his flip would link him + docbear as scumbuddies after how wyrm went down.

2.) docbear is CL and knew she couldn't kamikaze agent because her flip would link her + Ix as scumbuddies after the way wyrm went down.

3.) someone else is CL. at this point it only leaves cristi or fantasysci5 as possibilities

Assuming 3 cult, it means we have to get all 5 remaining town to get a lynch.

I don't think cult would lynch one of there own at this point. IF agentcarr is cult and not the real deprogrammer (HIGHLY unlikely) we're done for already anyway.

So I'm going to tie my vote to agent's. At least that way 2 townie are voting together.

The stuff before the hammer does seem suspect now that we know Wyrm was town. That docbear went along with what Ix wanted, and it was the deciding vote. It does seem more plausible to me that Ix could be CL and docbear was following as a cultist, possibly. Drealmer seemed very sure that Wyrm was cult after the hammer.

I'm somewhat inclined to believe Agent is DP. I feel like if he wasn't, the real DP would have went for him during the night and he isn't dead so isn't cult. Assuming that the "real" DP would have checked on him after the claim. Claims give me headaches.

I don't think I've mistyped their / there ever. So naturally I did it in the no edit game. Where's that flubb quote to cristi?

I am still town (although I doubt anyone believes me).

So, here's who I think may be cult:

lx: I have no clue. He was visited by agent. If lx were just plain cult, he would be dead. Is that correct? He's definitely not town, and he played me like a fiddle. I was wrong about bookwrym, and I apologize. lx could be a neutralized CL or he could just be town.

critsigale: has flown under the radar; hasn't really said much recently. Could very well be cult. Possibly even the CL. Here's why she could be CL: she's the one we would least suspect. I don't think she's been on any of the wagons. (I'm probably wrong about that). She hasn't done or said anything to draw attention to herself. Just quietly sitting in the background, converting people right under our noses. Does my reasoning make any sense: no, it doesn't. But nothing makes sense any more.

fantasysci5: If lx or cristigale aren't the CL, then the other possible choice is fantasysci5. Again, someone we wouldn't suspect. But, I don't see it.

drealmer: I have no idea. I can't get a read on him. He could be cult, he could be town,, he could be the CL. He comes across as crafty, which the CL would need to be. I think he's cult, but not the CL.

I suspect as I'm typing a wagon is forming around me. But, please, don't just dismiss out of hand what I've said above.

Yeah, if he isn't the real the DP, the real DP probably would have counter-claimed yesterDay. Don't worry, as you get more used to the game (mafia in general), the roles and claims and interactions and meanings of it all becomes easier to decipher/understand and the implications and possibility paths become easier to choose from. Read more on the roles on the wiki when you get a chance.

At this point it only makes sense to assume he is the real DP, and town, otherwise, we'll just go crazy and certainly lose destroying ourselves. The only other option is that some crazy bad luck happened early on and we are screwed anyway, so best to go with what is logically sound.

I find hammers to be very interesting, they all kind of feel different, and need to be read on an individual basis, and I think most of the time I find them to be harmless town hammers to get the wagon finished and end the Day, but, yours seemed suspicious and I lean that it was scummy. And yes, I suppose that could have been Ix sabotaging you either as you being cult OR town, too. One of the dynamics I find very interesting in cult games is that cult could very well be like "okay cultist, we are going to throw one of us under the bus to clear some of/the rest of us, don't worry, we will have more numbers! now die, like a good follower." And while I don't see that having happened yet in this game, it very well could happen now and we must be aware. (actually the aspect of it in this game would probably be that they decided last Night "everyone be totally open to lynching any one of us to clear yourselves - a reason Ix could very well just be ready to lean whichever way seems the most likely to go.) Something to keep in mind, is all.

Oh, yes, I definitely see how hammering bookwyrm comes off as scummy. And I don't blame anyone for being suspicious of me and wanting to lynch me.

because lurkiness factor is higher for fantasy and cristi, and cristi's ability to appear town as scum, and because docbear has seemed super-town all game to me and as a noob cultist, it's not so easy to do, I think (though I think I would have had I rolled that my first game! hah! and I know dess kicked butt as scum right from the get-go, so, it's not super unlikely or anything, but, yeah...), so, yeah!

so do we just let agent, flub, and dess decide on what to do?
