Need a script for mass deletion?

Ciris: However, so as not to leave you empty-handed, here's a thread in which I vow to battle spam one thread at a time, as my own time allows!
I certainly understand that the system is far from perfect but someone needs to do it regardless, which is what a number of good members of the community have taken upon themselves without any support until now. So I really appreciate you guys taking time out to fight alongside us down in trenches. :)

Gnostic: Ahh Haa so I caught JudasIscariot lies

You team is doing Witcher-y stuff from time to time, especially in the motion capture studio
avatar
Ciris: By Witcher-y stuff I meant things like the recent Q&A that we (co-)organised, or having a special page for the game's pre-orders and stuff like that - CD PROJEKT RED are the only ones working on actually MAKING the game ;)
Sure I believe you, you and team never went to the motion capture studio :D

Another update about the spam: I've talked to the web team. They've put more men on the job. This means I'll soon get automated reinforcements that will be better at doing this deletion job than I ever will.

If it comes with a "scripts for dummies" manual, then yes! :D I've found the 78-page forum thread it can be found in, but between other responsibilities, this spam situation and me not knowing much about computer wizardry, I wouldn't want to break something (especially with my additional mod powers)!
Are you the new EnigmaticT?

I miss our hat wearing friend ;_;

I guess it won't work with you account, since you probably have UI elements that normal users don't see.

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/we_are_under_attack/post1410

This is the version currently in use. All it does is repace the "this my favourite topic" checkboxes with "mark as spam" checkboxes and insert a button above.
Upon clicking the "spam" button it will open the threads each in an iframe (kind of page within a page) and there automatically click the downvote-button and then the "report as spam"-link.
The code is very crude since I wanted to quickly have something to battle the spam with. I didn't fine tune anything.

The scripts are dangerous as they are, with Mod permissions they would be WMD. But to work with your UI I would need to have a glimpse at the underlying HTML, since the script finds the click-targets by attributes of the page element. I can't use elements that I don't know since they don't exist in "my" version of the page.

PS: On the other hand - someone from the web team should be able to mess with my scripts and make a version for you. Should take only a couple of minutes.

Ciris: Alright, I'll make sure all my further replies are devoid of any and all humour whatsoever and that everything is serious.
Some of us are offended by seriousness. Where is a manager!?!
So I logged on CDPR, choose to merge it with my GOG account, but the site asked me nothing...maybe because I was already logged on GOG?

Sachys: doesnt surprise me - now please take your Thatcher fascination back to your own forums (of which you are all too fond of reminding us are so superior to this one) and quit this one (that only requires moderation when we end up with someone begging for moderation - when we do not need moderation by someone such as yourself because thats the most moderate thing that can be done)!

Also, Geoff says "Hello" and "He is a buffoon!" (in regards to you).
I have no idea who Geoff is. Tell him I think he's a great guy, though. Most Geoffs are.

I knew one guy called Geoff. He was great. I wish I was still in contact, but we parted ways a few years ago. Went separate ways etc etc. I think he got some job somewhere doing some stuff I dunno. I think he is fairly representative of what all Geoffs are like. Cool guys. But usually with bad haircuts. The Geoff I knew had a bad haircut. Tell your Geoff to make sure he works on his hair. Don't be like my Geoff.

HypersomniacLive: Let me see if I can offer you a differnt POV - hitting the reply button sends a notification to the user who made the post you're replying to, which in turn leads the poster to read your reply, even if they didn't ask for any response(s). Had you not done that in this case, we wouldn't have this exchange right now.
That's assuming the notification system actually works as it should, which it hasn't for quite a while now. :/ It is mostly a hit or miss whether you get a notification to a reply nowadays.

Ciris: In the meantime, we also might be gathering forces militia-style among us blue-texts to grab our banhammers and ride out. At dawn, look to the east!
Great!

The bug you are writing about is not related to the account merge. We know about the problem and we will fix it as soon as we can.
I'm not talking about the "sign up"/ "log in" buttons, which, for reasons I don't quite understand, can be visually fixed (point #2).

Please take a look at the attached screenshots. Please look at the gold padlock in the url address in the first four, then compare it to the last one. On the PMs page there's some conflict going on, and Firefox reports that parts of it are transmitted unencrypted over the Internet. Looking at the Page Source shows that images are served over http://images.gog.com/*.jpg and upload/avatars/YYYY/MM/*.jpg.
I assume that it's the avatars, as that's the only element missing from the other account pages

Even the redeem page over a secure connection had this issue, but apparently it was fixed sometime earlier today.

This started right after the avatars glitch and their restoration, which came with the new Galaxy-esque login screen we are presented with if we want to change our avatar, email or/ and password.

I don't know if that screen was introduced in relation to the account merge, but that's when it started.

I've submitted a support ticket, and will wait for a reply (let's see how long that will take), but I'm not keeping my hopes high.

vv221: I can’t reproduce it: avatars on the forum are served through HTTP (unencrypted), but on the account page everything is delivered through SSL encryption, including images.

I use HTTPS-Everywhere (on Iceweasel/Firefox) with a custom rule to enforce HTTPS on www.gog.com, but nothing about images.gog.com, so I don’t think the use of this plug-in is relevant here.
See my reply to Criis.

I'm not using any rules for GOG via HTTPS Everywhere ever since they broke the site with the Star Wars releases.

HypersomniacLive:
That’s something strange going on here: the page https://www.gog.com/account/messages is fully encrypted for me, even with HTTPS-Everywhere disabled.
I noticed the avatars displayed there are the ones from www.gog.com and not images.gog.com, don’t know if it is relevant.

So if I merge my 2 accounds (both have the same name and email address) do I loose my post count or my redpoints?
I have (including this post) 2 posts on the gog forum and 155 on the cd project red forum. How many will I have after?
2, 155 or 157?
