Good evening people !

I read Moonshae book from Forgotten Realms world and it is simply great ! I would like to read all the FR books ! Do you read some of them ? I read that there are more then 250 FR books and 30 games in the world of Forgotten realms that is just amazing.

I am interested in Drizzt series from autor Salvatore. Have you read some ?

Yes, and I don't recommend them. Boring, repetitive and repetitive...
Have you seen this ?

They're boring and repetitive sure, but they were what originally got me away from non-fiction.

If you turn your brain off and pretend it's a tabletop game in novella format they aren't too bad.
Quick check has it missing the "Counselors & Kings" trilogy, so most likely it's missing quite a few more books.

It IS a tabletop game in novella format. From the quests to the looting, you can almost tell when they roll a critical hit.

I, on the other hand, found them to be quite enjoyable reads.
If you're very young and/or haven't read many fantasy books, I guess the FR books are good enough.
Personally I think Pools of Darkness is the worst drivel I've ever (tried to) read. Most background stories written by game designers are better...
Haven't read the Drizzt books, though.

The Clerics Quintet is missing, too. One i liked and well, the stories of Drizzt and I did enjoy them quite much ;)
I don't care for R.A. Salvatore's writing myself. However, on the plus side, I can see why he might appeal to readers whose first language isn't English. His works are easy to read. (I'm not sure if you wanted to read them in English or in translation.)
Azure Bonds is the one that first got me into Forgotten Realms. Later books I found less compelling but to this day I still love that one.
i read the shadow of amn and drizzit's book sea of knives , both were okey

i heard the elimister books are good,
They're hit and miss for me. But it's fun to go back to Faerun and read a bit.

I've yet to start them, but I heard the Dragonlance series is really good.
I've read the Dark Elf trilogy (Drizzt's background story), the first of the Icewind Dale trilogy, the Legacy of the Drow series, and the Hunter's Blades trilogy. As for non-Drizzt stories, I read Dissolution.

The Drizzt books were entertaining for their settings and action. Dissolution was pretty cool in that it dealt with Drow society and the viewpoints of evil-leaning characters instead of the traditional good-leaning ones.
