Just looking at the deals on amazon drive space is really cheap. From personal use I can recommend:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/WD-Elements-Portable-External-Drive/dp/B07X41PWTY?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_D_f0d9cc20_61&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

I have a few of these, very portable, good transfer speeds, not heavy. 5tb for £89! £18 a tb.

Now this one, I have one of these at 8tb size, not bad, the plastic case is flimsy. Apparently people buy these just for the drives inside:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/WD-Elements-Desktop-Hard-Drive/dp/B07Y3KDVZH?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_D_f0d9cc20_62&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&th=1
£17.80 per tb.

Nice finds, but I likely won't be getting one till next year, as my income was used up on other things(optional spending budget) for the next month. Still, hopefully some will find them to be of use. :)
Lots of deals from today and a week forward. Some are turds of course, like all those laptops with insufficient this or that (Saying pc comes wtih twice as much CPU cores as it does! 2GB of RAM! Cooling only enough when running at 67% of full speed in a room no warmer than +20'C! -30% but the next shops sells normal price $£€7 below that every day!).

The 8TB model is cheap too.

Probably, but your more likely to die in the crush then :o)
Just noticed this on amazon today, Black Friday deal. 24tb my book duo, has two 12tb red drives int. that’s £16.50 a tb which is great value. I don’t have one of these yet, and they look a bit plasticy, however just for the drives...
