Tarm: Every time something like this comes up I get reminded that I haven't got a clue what food actually is. The definition of Food have been so blurred it's become...something that confuse me.
But you're still in Sweden though, right? Then don't worry too much, and just be happy you're not on the other site of the Atlantic.

We have one sort of wafers here - Tatranky. Originally (many years ago) contained genuine peanuts. But later producer replaced peanuts with cheaper peanuts aroma. Different worse taste.
They did it just because of money, but their official statement was that they "Removed peanuts because they wanted that even allergic person can enjoy taste of their wafers".
But since then they started writing "Warning, may contain peanuts" on packaging.
Why the heck selling wafers for allergic when it may contain peanuts? Business "logic" :)

Dessimu: Have you also seen packages of vegetables and fruits, that have word "Ecological" on them? Half of the farms producing those veggies and fruits spray shit and chemicals in the fields at 4AM in the morning, before the workers come to work. In turn, even the workers can't tell sometimes if the plants that supposed to be grown in eco way, are actually eco or not.

I have seen this with my own eyes by the way.
That's really sick.

Scams don't seem to surprise me anymore. People in business seem to take after P.T. Barnum "There is a sucker born every minute." Have to hand it to Barnum he knew what he was talking about.

Juices that have a small "Contains 10% fruit juice". Really? What's the other 90%? Sugar, Water and flavouring.
I piss off a lot of my friends when we're drinking something out, but I can't help it. I don't want nonsense fake rubbish. You'd think that simple juice, created from squeezing a fruit into a bottle, would be the easiest cheapest thing to make.

I just end up not eating most processed stuff.

TBH there are a lot of foods I eat that I DON'T want to know what is in them! :P

Even if they are all natural completely healthy ingredients please just keep quiet! XD

I NEVER want to know. Food is for eating, not for reading. I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke, so let me eat my junk food in peace, damn it! :D

It's funny in Sweden, transparency is sacred yet most food have been processed anyway. Not that I prefer scamming or living in ignorance but still, it's very important to know how slowly we are all killing ourselves. We are proud like that. :p

I guess the lesson here is learning who to trust and making your homework, check up on companies that tries to sell "Healhty food".

What makes it even more sad is that 10% of fruit content is often divided 9% apples and 1% of the stuff that's the juice is actually labeled with (let's say rapsberry, but doesn't really matter, just anything more expensive than apples).

Reminds me of the Fat-Free Jelly Beans and 0 Carb Bacon.

I quit paying attention to most of this stuff years ago. Butter was supposed to be bad for you so they told us to switch and use partially hydrogenated oils, but now those are called Trans-Fats and we shouldn't eat them. Eggs are good for you, no wait they're bad, no good, sorry bad again, well a recent study shows they are actually good for you.You should drink 2% milk because it's only 2% fat, well how much is in whole milk - 3.5%, is it really that big of a difference?

Yeah but the joke here is, water is 0 everything. :P You can't have a diet of something that is already no calories. XD
