Niggles: Looks nice. Considered it. Steam only :(.
"The game will be released on Humble Store, but there won't be a DRM-Free version for now.

We plan on keep adding new updates for some time, and having to keep a DRM-Free version up-to-date is a pain.

There's also the issue of leaderboards and achievements that the drm-free version wouldn't have (because they rely on the Steam API)." -- from the dev on steam forums

Oh well. Another one ill pass on

IronArcturus: That's really sad to hear. Do all gaming devs feel that DRM-free games are "a pain" to update? I would think it should be easier to fix problems since there's no 3rd-party mess to deal with.
Im hesitant to say this, but i feel it maybe also pure laziness at times as well.At least thats the impression i get.

Hmm, so in this case, "The price of digital freedom is eternal vigilance!"

I do not think the matter here is drm free or not, but steam or not.

1 - 1 single point of contact, only 1 game version to keep updated
2 - steam is very open for the devs, they have full control over the patches and can do micro-patches. They do not need to bother through a third-party approval for each patch (which is one of the reasons gOg patches are alwAys later than Steam)

It is. My mobile game saves credit card data and sends it to the Russian mob and I'm too lazy to fix it. Nah, but seriously, I think you may be right.

Id rather there actually be SOME QA involved
Plenty of people do not want that piece of shit steam client anywhere near their PC - if dev's are like the one above, and not bother to sell to a segment of the market, hey its their loss .

indeed. and I guess a loss they are well aware of.

Do you even know what 'QA' stands for and how much it has to do with chosen distributors? Creating a product that's easy to maintain and uses the most popular distribution method around are just about the most important aspects of good QA. Or do you still stand by belief that repeating an untruthful statement sufficient amount of times will change reality somehow?

Rogue Shooter turned out to be a buggy mess with a gone developer, right? Looking at the reviews, it's now off my wishlist.

I have not seen any bugs, to be honest, and the user reviews on Steam is "Very Positive". I think the developer is not very active anymore, but the game is fun and plays well. There is a demo on Steam also now.

And adding to the list - Phr00t have completed 4089: Ghost Within, so it goes up there also. At the moment 4 out of 12 games on that list is from the one developer....
