Trine: Enchanted Edition

Enjoyed it very much! Still haven't gotten around to the sequels.
March 2020. The pandemic started.

Always wanted to play Quake 4. Googled for it, found that GOG had it at a low price, that it was DRM freen, and purchased it.

Shortly afterwards I got Vangers, Wing Commander: Prophecy and the Battlezone games, which were long-wished games for me. GOG had them all.

The Witcher trilogy. I created an account for a giveaway, I believe it was Saint's Row 2, and then I saw the introductory sale. I had heard of the Witcher games but had little interest to play them; but I figured $30 for all three games was a good deal. I had also seen RangerDave's review of the game and it convinced me to go for it. That one purchase was one of the greatest purchases of my life. I went from thinking W3 MUST have been overrated, as I didn't think there was any way it actually lived up to the hype... and then it did, though it did take a little time to fully sink in for me.

I was also very skeptical of CDPR based on all of the cool stuff I had heard about them. I had assumed that there was some sort of catch, yet they really proved themselves to me. In fact, that skepticism really helped with my perception around Cyberpunk: I went in with realistic expectations (instead of expecting impossible perfection) and as such, I LOVED the game. Of course, they're not perfect, but CD Projekt is definitely my favorite company in the industry right now due to my love for their games and the way they treat the customer (despite many of said customers being very bitter/hostile toward them over the silliest stuff).

What's more is that it led me to really start promoting/spreading the word about DRM-free and eventually, GOG became my main gaming platform.

The witcher 2 enhanced ed
Duke Nukem 3D
Giants: Citizen Kabuto
HoMM 3

I was actually only after Duke 3D, as it was one of the first PC games that I'd owned growing up (the other being Diablo). Found out about GOG while searching for a legal copy and here I am. 1500+ games now...

Geez, time flies.

sergeant_citrus: Master of Orion 2. I still fire it up from time to time ...
Have you tried the new Master of Orion? When it came out I bought it out of curiosity... and then proceeded to play it for 36 hours that weekend.
First purchase was Syberia 1+ 2 and Arx Fatalis (after picking Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil, The Longest Journey, Sanitarium, and another copy of NWN as free prize in the NWN module contest).
The first game I bought at GOG, for free, was Shadow Warrior. That was May 2, 2017.

A friend gave me the link, and the rest is history.

Later in the day I grabbed some more free games from GOG.

Then on May 3, 2017 I actually paid some money for a few ... hard to say which was first, as they were all part of the same order.

2.59 - Unreal Gold

1.99 - The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

3.89 - The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition

2.59 - Deus Ex™ GOTY Edition

1.79 - STAR WARS™: Dark Forces

1.79 - STAR WARS™ Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II

2.99 - STAR WARS™ Republic Commando

2.99 - Star Wars™: Jedi Knight™ II - Jedi Outcast™

There was a Star Wars Sale on at the time.

I own it and have it installed! I keep meaning to really dig into it. I was a bit put off that they made the tactical combat real-time, because I'm much better with turn based, but I could see how it would prevent the slog of watching 60 ships take their turns ...
Dark Reign + expansion. I came across the original, played it, liked it and was looking forever for the expansion. Gog was the first place it turned up.

Choomba696: Painkiller
That does look like a great game. I heard it also has at least 3 expansion packs.

Star Wars: Dark Forces
Star Wars: Dark Forces II
Carmageddon: Max Pack
The Ishar series.
