Not strange enough, Tilda Swinton should have had a pointy beard. :P

I never grew up with any of these Marvel/DC comic strips (shame, really), but In my opinion Marvel has done a tremendous god job in creating a more mature and somewhat gritty universe. (With the exception of how Dr Selvig where scripted in Thor 2 - That was unnecessary and it almost wrecked the movie for me, because he was/is an important part of the Marvel Universe. They could have written him off of the whole movie instead or chained him to a sickbed with flu for lack of creativity)
DC is getting dumber by the minute in a fairytale universe where everything is light as a feather, and everyone laughs when someone farts. Everyone is a master in 2 seconds, fly distance is in 2 seconds, behave immature, beating a villain in 2 seconds, and some more childish farting. And that's the whole script... (Well, I'm mostly referring to their series. DC movies aren't that bad)
I really look forward to "meeting" this Doctor STRANGE... (there's many interpretations out there, and I never even knew of him until a few years ago)
EDIT: Doctor STRANGE - Not Doctor Who :-D

Remember- unlike Marvel, the DC tv shows and movies do not share the same universe. Also- Marvel movies being mature and gritty? I seriously don't know if your trolling or what, since that's the most blatantly crazy wrong thing you could say. I don't think a single Marvel movie, even any of the good ones, fits that description.DC is getting dumber by the minute in a fairytale universe where everything is light as a feather, and everyone laughs when someone farts. I know they don't share the same universe - they're still one of the worst series ever to be produced. I'm not going for some flamewar here, but you seriously have to be a child, mentally, to find DC funny, intelligent or even god! Everything that has science or math connected to it is scrubbed away and censored, like "magic". And Marvel being mature and gritty; I wrote "more" and not that hey were oscar worthy. Besides, compared to DC (overall) they do tend to be "more" mature and gritty.
In the end, everything here is subjective.

I definately don't think DC is god;) Seriously though, I'm definately not one to defend DC's tv shows. Other than Gotham (which has a bunch of flaws too) they are all pretty bad, I agree. I have not seen any of the Legends of Tomorrow, so I don't know about that, but seeing as it's a spin-off of Arrow and Flash I don't expect too much. Although, Flash is better than Arrow, so maybe Legend's can be better then Flash. That way, eventually, we might end up with something good :D Apparently. I was just saying earlier how cartoonish, silly and campy Marvel movies are :D

Well, I gave the flash a shot and the first season was OK on a friday night after a long week, but the moment s2 started it got mind-fumblingly fairytale-silly. LoT is even worse. From the little I've seen Arrow it might be a bit better than both. No more DC series for me.
Cartoon-ish and campy? I think that's something we both can agree on ;-)
And there I went way past what the op intended, again :-D

In light of the fact that one of the major character's gender has been changed, please forgive me for interjecting a forced pun...

Breja: Well, it turns out there is a much uglier and truly political reason for the Tilda Swinton casting then any of the gender-angry crowd thinks.

He originates from Tibet, so if you acknowledge that Tibet is a place and that he’s Tibetan, you risk alienating one billion people
Well I fucking acknowladge that Tibet is a place. Of course it is a place. What the fuck is wrong with you? This is a shitty, cowardly decision and I'm seriously considering not seeing the movie now. I really don't feel like giving Marvel my money for their pandering to the Chinese regime. I don't like to get political here, and I'll probably regrett this when I cool down and see a shitstorm below but right now? Fuck it, and fuck Marvel.

You don't alienate shit if you speak out the name of Tibet. It's the same thing as speaking out loud the words "Inner Mongolia" or something since both are autonomous regions of People's republic of China. http://www.bleedingcool.com/2016/04/24/marvel-cast-tilda-swinton-in-doctor-strange-so-as-not-to-offend-china/

and also this has nothing to do with Tibet or whatever. Asian actors just don't get cast in Hollywood movies because dumb fucking hicks in USA still claim "they all look the same". That's the actual reason for casting "a white Scottish woman as a traditionally East Asian character". Bullshit about Tibet and offending China and whatnot is just a weird construct they made up to seem like "smart" or whatever when they got asked about why is the character a white girl.
