Wow. Awesome.
Most firewatching is done by satellite and airplane these days. But there are still some active towers out there.
When I reached the summit of Oregon Butte, the highest point in southeastern Washington, in August 2011 the fire lookout was in full panic mode. One woman there, but there were a bunch of radios going. There had been a storm and had set off a bunch of them. She was directing planes and they were misunderstanding her. It was wild. I generally enjoy talking to lookouts, but obviously left her alone.

Another seemingly great title I had forgotten, very happy that it's coming. I hope the game supports DSR, it's perfect for walking simulators where there's not too much action going on.
