It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Lin545: Ublock happened. It has far more efficient engine and consumes tons less of RAM.
Thanks for mentioning that. I've been using NoScript / ABP for years, even after a few minutes of using uBlock I can see it's much better.

There is difference between "ublock origin", and normal "ublock". I suggest "origin" version, its developed by original ublock dev. Here are some metrics.
Version 41 freezes for a while when loading some tabs.
FF38 on an older pc didn't do that.. O_o
Has anyone tried the Midori browser by any chance?

Yes, very lightweight, very fast.

monkeydelarge: Is it just my PC or is Firefox really slow(poorly optimized), lately? OR is it Flash?
Honestly, i can't tell what went on with Firefox. Few years ago it was "the browser". Everything was slick, it was faster than other browsers, excellent. In last two years, it started to become slower and slower with each update.
I think they optimized it different, regarding the RAM or CPU allocation. It might run better for people with high end PCs, but, i don't have such a great PC. Anyway, Firefox was getting silly. After few days of use, it was getting unusable. Very slow and buggy. I started using Chrome and i'm not looking back. Much faster, for me.

Thanks for clarifying, it was a little confusing until I read the FAQ page. I went with the origin version now instead.

timppu: I wish someone would make a new lean and mean Opera browser that doesn't hide the menus. Who the heck thought it is a great idea to hide the menus, having to click more to go through one main tab in order to reach them? Damn touchscreen devices making all user interfaces crappy...

At least Firefox lets me enable the menus, even if they are disabled by default.

Und yeah, Firefox seems to hang on me sometimes with some Flash bullshit on certain sites, especially www.hs.fi. I am unsure who to blame more, Flash Player or Firefox. I wish we could do completely without Flash and Java already, they both just seem to be big troublemakers, needing imminent security hotfixes time to time.
Like the other guy said, try Vivaldi.Only found out about this recently myself as well. Dev team is very responsive to user requests (although i hope they just dont add crap in just cause its in Chrome or FF...). Beta seems to work ok. Updates are reasonably regular. Lot more customizable than the recent Opera etc. Only issue ive found is certain websites wont work due to missing plugins etc (not sure if its my system ). Of note looks like the more recent Opera's have gone down the toilet - original dev team being disbanded/relocated
