It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

another nail in the coffin of flash
TBH I wont miss flash. It was always a resource hog and a security risk. That being said, I don't like the way Firefox are going, first the DRM module, now blocking things. Its not sounding very open and inclusive to me.
So Flash is under the guillotine... Since this is done in the name of security & stability of the browser, sounds alright to me. Especially for users that don't know about addons that block useless stuff from webpages.
mmm, there won't be "real changes" in August if you already have some plug-ins like AdBlock installed:

"in 2017 (probably Firefox 53 in May), Flash content will be entirely click-to-play: so, you'll still be able to play Flash games and watch Flash videos, but all of those Flash ads and hidden Flash elements will be completely blocked."

So it will only be in 9 months that the change is really gonna be effective.
Well that sucks for my daughter and my wife who love playing online cheezy games using flash. I wonder if there will be a replacement for flash?

You can just use a different browser for playing games and keep FF for everything else (provided FF is your browser of choice anyway).
I'm glad Adobe is calling Flash "Animate" now, to help lessen the confusion between the animation tool and the player.

Some of those games don't require flash.

In particular, Cookie Clicker (which I am playing right now) doesn't require Flash; I know because I don't have Flash installed on my computer at all.

Edit: Clarified what I was saying; originally, the last word was "doesn't".

Flash games will continue to work for a long time still. Their first step is just blocking a very small subset of probably malicious (and crash-inducing) Flash content, so that won't have any effect on these games. Then from sometime next year onward, all flash content, including these games, will need an initial click to start loading, rather than loading immediately on pageload.

You can already run with (something close to) that behaviour in current Firefox (which I highly recommend from both a security, privacy and stability perspective) to see how disruptive it will be. Under Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins, select "Ask to Activate" in the selectbox to the right of the Flash plugin. (support article for the same)

Good. Flash should die already.

They said "cheesy games."

Arguably, Cookie Clicker is "cheesy". Consider that, as of right now, I have around 137 septillion cookies, baking 90.42 per second (which gets magnified by wrinklers), and am saving up for (and can realistically afford with a little patience) a building that costs 1.261 octillion cookies to purchase. Doesn't that sound "cheesy"? (I bet you haven't encountered those number names in any other place (aside from maybe learning about the number names and what they mean), right?)

No, that sounds like you need to get outside a bit more (without the phone) :o)
Excellent news
What a coincidence. I just uninstalled Flash from my Windows 7 PC a few days ago because I knew it is out of date, and I couldn't be assed to update it (autoupdate doesn't work for me for some reason, I have to go to Adobe's homepage and actually download an updated installer from there, and run it). I figured let's see how many sites will complain about missing Flash. Today I didn't watch some news video because of that, oh well.

I uninstalled also Java, I had it installed only if someone wants to play Minecraft on this PC occasionally (I don't). I don't even know if Minecraft still requires Java.
