Just a quick note to say a big THANKS to the gog team (autocorrection rightfully insists for 'god' team ;) ). I'm the old 82' generation. Still remember few Atari Logo command lines. Brought up on screwdriver & commodore, neighbour having black amiga (with black monitor - who remembers that?) and later starting with my own pc 486. This was a time when the very first computer magazines came out (having those 80's fantasy style drawings on front covers). A bit too technical at the time to understand (like ZX Spectrum). Back in the day when we had 'Top Secret' before 'Secret Service'.
I didn't even have to play all these games, I could just read about them and indulge myself in a daydream. Don't want to sound like another: 'my times were better'... but... they had just different flavour. Back in the day when it was legal to copy games in any computer shop using x-copy software. Sadly these days won't ever come back...

...And how the world turns? The team... the legend... people who decided to bring those memories back to life. Glimpsed through the website, here and there, saw... Alone in the dark... Wolf3D... Another World... are you kidding me? "Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?". No 'Flashback quest for identity'? That's fine, but received immediately a free kickass POLISH game - Teenagent (I mispronounced it for many years as '10-agent')? Really? Who are these people? Any documentaries available on them? Interviews? I mean... Jesus... "thank you" is not a word!

I could easily download these games via torrent. I've purchased almost 80 games (some were added for free), most had discounts and they were worth every penny - I hope this will help to continue the project. Please remember about the Mac users too (Oh Fallout 1 how I missed my chance to purchase you) :) I like what you do and good luck to you: GOG/GOD TEAM!!!!

P.S.
And please don't die yet. In case of money struggle just let us know (make a banner as twice as big as Jimmy made on Wikipedia), I'll help!

I don't think most people bought that many games here. ;P

No worries :-)
If you actually played those 80 games that's pretty impressive.
Nothing to worry about!
I'm The Nigerian Prince, who stuck on his trip to Nibiru. Currently I'm living on Mars with my nine wives, twenty four camels and supplies of water. My spaceship was hit by a giant rock and some parts needs to be replaced. I could easily order them myself, but unfortunately can't login to my bank account due to IP check. I will give you all the money back and buy GOG for you once you will send money I need for the replacements to my paypal account.
Thank you in advance!

Don't be, it's not a competition and I'm sure Tom never meant to imply anything of the kind. For me, there isn't even 700 games on GOG that I'm interested in :D It's about buying the games you want, not hoarding stuff for the sake of having it.
Just remember, it's not the number of games that's important, it's the number of totally stupid useless fucking achievements that you get. :D
Don't believe a word from Breja. We're compulsive buyers and all we care about is getting as many games on our virtual shelves as possible.

Which is why you keep your profile turned off so no one can see what a sad pathetic tally you are running. :P

I keep mine open, free to be ridiculed! :D

I always fall for the trap it's much easier to buy games than to finish one (this Summer Sale I reached the 400 games milestone, I don't think I've even played 10% of them, even less of them finished, I by now consoled myself with the fact I'm part gamer, part collector and will never play all the games I own - buying games is like buying into the hope you play them and have fun with them - but you can't buy the time and the energy to play all of them (*) ).

*if only I had energy as much in abundance as I have time
