The summer chillout is in full swing and with it comes a natural drive towards taking things easy. That’s why this GOG GALAXY Day is the perfect occasion to introduce such an approach to organizing your gaming library. We’ll also show you how to get The Witcher: Enhanced Edition free of charge just by installing GOG GALAXY.

Create your unique game library
You can never have too much of a good thing, they say. When it comes to gaming libraries, this saying is surely true. Did you know that an average library on GOG GALAXY consists of 114 titles, while the biggest library has…20,497 games? Just imagine the hardships of navigating through such a formidable collection without the proper tools that GOG GALAXY can provide.

By using the “Assign tags” option next to each title (see the video below), you can easily divide your gaming library into smaller, intuitive collections. This way you won’t lose your favorite titles even after adding to your library of owned games from other platforms and subscription services like Xbox Game Pass, Uplay Plus, and Origin Access.

Get your copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition
In addition to helping organize your game library, GOG GALAXY also gives you the chance to claim and keep the famous fantasy RPG from CD PROJEKT RED. The Witcher: Enhanced Edition is widely considered one of the most ground-breaking RPGs ever made, and remains a must-play with its mature, non-linear story and challenging combat system.

To get this game free of charge, all you have to do is download the GOG GALAXY client and create an account. Once you’ve done that, head over to the "Recent" view and check the banner at the top. Click the giveaway button if you agree to receive news, updates, and GOG offers. After a while, the game will show up in your game library. This means you are ready to join Geralt of Rivia on his epic adventures!

Celebrate GOG GALAXY Day with us by discovering this useful and easy-to-access app. With it, you’ll be able to build huge libraries of exciting games (including a free copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition) without getting lost in the process.

I find my "games" folder very easy to navigate, and the desktop shortcut to whatever I'm actually playing right now easier still.
Is there a way to display the number of games in each group like for owned and installed games ?

GOG should get rid of Galaxy and bring the the good olde Downloader back. Less work, easier to maintain and more happy customers. A real win-win situation!
Again with the Galaxy spam? Why are you trying so hard to be an inferior Steam clone?
I am not installing your client, and I still would not if you were offering the whole GOG games collection for free with it.

I hope there's something good coming up... no big new releases this sale... a giveaway of a game being given away elsewhere by a company that has actively removed games from sale and hasn't brought them back (or released anything new) - now self promoting Galaxy without an update or improvement in its stability...

Been underwhelmed this sale so far...

Alexim: No offense, but a GOG Galaxy day without a measly update after months and months of absolute nothingness verges on the ridiculous.
That's a moot point though, since there is no possible way to "update" Galaxy 2.0 in a way that would make it tolerable or good.

In contrast, if GOG were to announce that they were abolishing the terrible Galaxy 2.0 and reverting back to the excellent and vastly superior Galaxy 1.2, then that would be a Galaxy day truly worth celebrating.

How about a "we will update all outdated offline installers" day? That would be highly appreciated!

pkk234: Can I edit/delete tags yet?
Edit no, delete yes, but only if you do it on all the games one by one. -_-

AWG43: Is Galaxy still in beta state?
Yes.

Kryornis: Is there a way to display the number of games in each group like for owned and installed games ?

AB2012: And any game client that has 20,497 games is generally going to be filled with +90% cr*p of the kind people collect when they buy masses of those 10-15x game Fanatical style bundles just for 1-3x games then promptly ignore most of the rest.
I think the 20,497 one is just a internal testing account.
I want to know how large is the biggest Library of a real GOG customer.
Not a Galaxy user, but Happy GOG Galaxy Day for those that do. :)

DRM-Free Offline installers are what make GOG relevant.

Also, no Galaxy on Linux.

I'm honestly left wondering exactly what "difficulties" others really have in practise beyond the marketing push. I mean let's pretend Galaxy doesn't exist, would "managing" an average 114x title sized GOG account really be some insurmountable task? I have 3x more disc based games than that and never "got lost" in my own bookshelf trying to find No One Lives Forever or the Neverhood. They're under "N" and about 100x faster to locate than spending hours scrolling through that 20,497x sized collection one page at a time trying to mentally filter out the 95% wall of junk that such an account has to comprise of, client or not...
gog declares June 23rd GOG GALAXY Day!

And everyone's like...

PS: With the twenty bajillion dollars CD Projekt made from Cyberpunk, gog should be able to get Bill Pullman for real to do a dramatic reading this blurb for a promo video. If that fails, get Big Man Tyrone.
