It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

google actively uses shadow banning on Youtube accounts (you post a comment and if your global youtube "reputation" is low that comment will be moved to spam and invisible unless channel owner will restore it). Needless to say that any person can be massively downloted/reported on youtube by bots or trolls and these are automatic algorithms to calculate the "reputation". If you ever participated in hot political topics expect to be shadow banned for the rest of your youtube usage. I'm the one of such people.
Once I discovered this situation I replaced google to duckduckgo as a search engine, added duckduckgo privacy extension to Chrome so it will remove any google tracking code, logged out from all google services (this includes youtube - I use gpodder to fetch updates, gmail - I use Claws Mail to fetch my mail) so Google won't make money on selling my data to 3d parties or on serving me annoying ads.
Life is great since that move. I suggest you to do the same, use their services without letting them to profit from you.
I said it was time to be paying attention.

Everything Google is doing is so they can push who gets the 2020 election because Google has such a large monopoly.

100% this. There are a lot of weird rules designed to favor existing players whenever Google is involved (and if you're trying to get into something like Google News, they won't even tell you what those rules are). Many cases of supposed partisan bias boil down to the company's bizarre inner workings, but the results are easier to ascribe to a bunch of Soros-funded automatons mindlessly blocking anything with a conservative bent from showing up in search results.

Google is terrible in countless other ways, though. Misguided reasons or not, I'm totally down with going to war with them.

StingingVelvet: Private companies can do what they want. Google could announce to the world they're banning all "Conservative" content if they wanted to, and that would be fine. Conservatives would then be free to stop using it, and rush back to Yahoo or whoever else.
But that's exactly the problem - Google DIDN'T announced that they're banning "Conservative" content. Instead Google continue to pretend to be politically neutral and brush off accusations with nothing more but flimsy rethoric about "hate speech" and whatnot.

Also, "Conservatives" and other non-left leaning people have indeed went to other platforms - Minds, Gab, BitChute, Subscribestar (not a social network, but it's used for finances). And guess what? All those platforms are now under constant attack from, guess who? "Progressive" communities on Google, Twitter and such.

Except establishment media is overwhelmingly left-leaning and independent media is right-leaning (at least respectively to establishment).

plenty of other search engines than google, but if your talking aobut youtube who even cares to many people care about left and right and stuff just so they can feel some sort of political connection, ofc i dnt like google but it has nothing to do with there political views, for me its the fact that they sell your data, and send telemtry, ofc this isnt just googole who does this.

its one reason i dnt have a web browser so i dnt have any data and i also have telemetry disabled on windows 10 with shutup10, if i ever do et a browser for something id use a VPN or tor for privacy

A lot of today's "Conservatives" are far from Conservative on this issue lately though, sadly.
That's a very.... American point of view. One could argue that websites like Youtube, Google, Facebook which are very important to communication, are in fact public utilities no different than a road or post office and should be treated as such by the law.
are you people aware that google spies even on your steam market purchases and notes every trade you make in separate file?
I just went and requested full dump of my account, it's amazing how they use gmail letters to gather even my personal financial data. If you don't believe it - check for yourself - https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout

request full backup of your account (or just Purchases - Reservations part) to see how much data have they gathered already.

This has been debated before, even on GOG!

Well I'm an American, and treasure our often unique focus on freedom from government regulation, so... yeah. I don't take this as an insult at all. If Australia takes over Google and runs it as a government industry then you can get back to me, but as of now it's a private company that can delete whatever the heck it wants, and as a private citizen I can choose how much I care.

Now if they are false advertising, or you want to remove their government contract, that's a whole other matter.
It's spelled FCK GGL :P

Also, agreed.

StingingVelvet: I would certainly be for possibly curtailing some of those benefits if they keep restricting content. I don't think private entities should get ANY government assistance or breaks like that, honestly. I think that's more an argument for reigning in those policies than for controlling what Google allows on their platforms though.
Just like with Television stations in the US though, certain regulations need to be put in place once a platform reaches a certain ubiquity. I'm all about private entities and their rights, but once a private entity becomes the de facto communication of its type, it needs to have protections for its users to keep censorship from happening. Free speech in a private venue is not exactly protected. But when that private venue is essentially a public street (and reaches far more than any one public street) then the owner should not be allowed to remove speech.
<faux indignation>
This isn't fair, I've been hating google for years on this site and everyone's been telling me how cool a service they offer, and how useful all their creepy info harvesting is for recommending them cool stuff. Then there's a little stir about possible bias and boom, everyone's jumping on the bandwagon.

Fine, I'll just have to jump off it then. I mean, did anyone notice the irony of complaining about google's level of censorship by posting on youtube?
</faux indignation>

Here's a counter link for balance (I know how much we like balanced arguments here.): https://www.theverge.com/interface/2019/6/27/18760463/project-veritas-youtube-sting-james-okeefe

swsoboleski89: google does suck, use bing and edge instead.
You do know that Edge is now using the chromium rendering engine don't you? Don't get me wrong - you're absolutely right to recommend using alternatives, but I think google have pretty much sewn up the browsers.

I'd mark them as untrusted.... except google captchas crop up everywhere.

eh, Google saved us from M$ taking over the mobile phone market. They have also been rather innovative, i really like my Chromecast.

They can keep the information on what porn sites i visit.

one thing is trackers which you can stop and another thing is when someone reads your emails and writes down amounts you spent and commission steam have earned. that's creepy as hell
