I played through Resident Evil 4 every year around christmas time for a little while. I just finished the remake now a week ago, so..

I've done a few Risk of Rain LAN-parties with friends around christmas when everyone is home. That is the plan this year as well.
Soulbringer definitely (sadly no longer works on my computer...), then also Below... great things :)
Favorite game to play on christmas

My "favourite game(s) to play on x-mas" are:

- to spend some quality time with my family
- to play some board game(s), and/or maybe to watch (a) classic x-mas movie(s)
- to eat well (and probably too much)
- to have a few drinks (but hopefully not too many)
- to feel joy when seeing my gifts being appreciated by the people I love

So... I guess it's one of the Sims games, right? Right? :P

Kinda like "The Sims".
But with photorealistic graphics and augmented reality. ;)

Hooyaah: Sacred 2 Gold has an enjoyable quest, "Can Christmas Still be Saved." There is a special Christmas gear set which drops with its successful completion. There is no prerequisite quest, so it's easy to finish in a relatively short amount of time.

EDIT: With a plethora of side quests, a very large open-world map, and a very involving main quest, the game is well worth the investment.

Carradice: If you don't mind: is it worth skipping the original Sacred or both are worthy your time as player, in your opinion?
Although, I have never played Sacred Gold, the first game of the series certainly has its admirers. The place where you are certain to find a more thorough response to your query is darkmatters.org.
Fallout 4 when it's also Christmas in game. Gotta make a trip to Diamond City and see the decorations (it's still one of the few games that had aesthetic differences for a holiday. IIRC there was one or two rather old games that had in game holidays that affected the game (certain bonuses if you were of the right house/religion/whatever the holiday centered around) but I can't recall the specific games. But overall there aren't a lot (at least that I've played) that you see in game changes based on a holiday. Although, of course, the entire Fallout 4 landscape is full of halloween decorations due to when the bombs fell.

Thanks for the link! I read once some criticism about Sacred II, from the field of Sacred Gold. It is good to know that Sacred II has a solid corps of admirers, too. More to play! :)
Unpacking? ;)
In real life: Chess and Scrabble.

Ueber: Arkham Origins and Mafia II
When I saw this thread, my first response was to come to say these two exact games.
Truthfully, when I was a kid, it was whatever console game my parents had purchased for me. Now, it’s whatever I purchase for the kids. As a brief aside, I think I prefer Christmas as a kid in the 80s. Nowadays , it’s spoiled kids and instant gratification. As an example…I’d get one cart….RBI Baseball by Tengen. I felt like a king even with a crappy game. Today, if it’s not 10 console titles on Blu-ray, you get eyerolls and complaints. Lol
