Saw The Expendables 2

POSSIBLE MILD SPOILERS, IF ANYONE CARES ABOUT THE MOVIE'S PLOT IN THE SLIGHTEST

Loads of fun from beginning to end, provided you turn your brain off. It's significantly more ridiculous and silly than the first, and doesn't spend too much time on anything that isn't either a) macho interactions or b) violence. In some ways, I think that it can be a little too ridiculous. But then again, that's what everyone is expecting. Although it's stupid, I think all of us really wanted Chuck Norris to be introduced in epic slo-mo, with the theme from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly playing in the background... and that's exactly what happens. There are many excessively over-the-top moments like that. But if you pull out your inner 12-year-old boy and forget everything except how awesome it is to see Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Bruce Willis together in the same firefight, you'll have a blast.

And surprisingly enough, my fiancee loved it as well.

So did I.
Just saw it, thought it was really good, disappointed with the lack of RHK's, but a blast of a movie.
i saw the first expendables, it was alright. all the big action stars of the current age are in it practically. must have cost a fortune in casting the movie alone, but the flick was full of action, which i liked. good stuff.
Recommendation to people who like musical movies

Me and my gf actually both liked the first one more. Still a lot of fun, but there is a lot less action, gore, classic no brainer fun in here then in the first one. Felt like they were actually trying to make a movie that people who didn't grew up with 80's and 90's action, would also enjoy...

Calamity Jane

Fiddler on the Roof
How About An American in Paris
it was such a light hearted, lovely film that washed away the horrors of WW2 and brought in happyness
Tony Scott committed suicide. Do yourself a favor and witness one of his contributions to the world. I recommend True Romance. If you've already seen it, then Man on Fire or The Hunger.

grease!
Just saw 'Jet Ji's Fearless'

It was ok. The martial arts were good, the plot was good, the acting was good. Nothing extraordinary.
Returned to school for the first time in over a decade today( I'm really old). For my Film and Society class , my teacher had us watch Sherlock Jr by Buster Keaton. I was surprised at how good it was, considering I had never even heard of it before. Parts of it were amazing , like this scene below:

Sounds interesting. What exactly does that entail?
