Crassmaster: Finally saw In the Loop...goddamn hilarious. Funny lines throughout, good satirical mockery, and Peter Capaldi's ability to spit out profanity is awe inspiring.

If you liked that, check out the show The Thick of It.
The expendables :
I had a free pass to go see the movie. Cool. It's far from the movies that I usually like but the casting intrigued me, a lot. There is not much to say about the scenario or the acting. Who cares anyway. No, only the characters are interesting, in a good or in a bad way.
Dolph Lungren : my favorite character. He's a moron. No, he's THE moron of the movie. He's a junkie in the movie, isn't he ? I like the character because I thought that the contrast was very amusing when you know what he really is in real life.
Silvester Stallone : he's the main character. Not much to say except that he got his ass kicked. I kind of like that.
Terry Crews : for some reasons I like him. Everytime he opens his mouth he makes me laugh, I don't know why. Maybe because everytime I see him, I picture the father in "Everybody hates Chris". In my opinion he got to play the best action scene in the movie (when he uses his big gun in the corridor, towards the end of the movie).
Randy Couture : I have no idea where that guy comes from. Who is he ? I thought he was useless. He's the one who took care of the big bad ass, but still, I didn't like the character. He lacks charisma I think. I would have preferred to see "The Rock" instead. Plus, having Dwayne Johnson kicking Steve Austin's ass, that would have been a good nod to the WWE.
Jet Li : He's humiliated from the beginning to the end of the movie. They all make fun of themselves, but I thought it was a little too much with his character. He deserves much better. Besides the small fries, he isn't able to kick anybody's ass by himself. Disappointing.
Jason Statham : I knew him but I never got to see any of his movies. Not too bad.
Steve Austin : the final boss. I wasn't expecting him to last the whole movie. He's the one who kicks Stallone's ass.
Mickey Rourke : the tattoo artist. He's a peculiar character. We don't see him much, and that's a good thing. I wish he would stop whining and shedding tears in his movies.
Arnold Schwarzenegger : he looks pathetic. Too bad.
Bruce Willis : I was hoping to see him more often in the movie.
Edit : I don't particularly recommend the movie. It doesn't worth paying 10 bucks for that, it is more like a DVD movie.

Here are my recommendations that happen to be some of my favorites:
Young Frankenstein: Mel Brooks teams up with writer/star Gene Wilder for one of the funniest comedies of either of their careers.
The Princess Bride: find me a movie with more memorable lines. I dare ya.
Goonies: Kids going on an epic treasure hunt.
The Frisco Kid: Harrison Ford is a cowboy. Gene Wilder is a rabbi. Hilarity ensues.
Yojimbo: Toshiro Mifune. Akira Kurosawa. 'nuf said.
The Seven Samurai: See above.
The Hidden Fortress: See above.
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Kirk's dealing with old age on a ship full of new recruits. The villain is a mix of Satan and Captain Ahab (literally, as the two main inspirations from the story come from Paradise Lost and Moby Dick). This is science fiction done right, although the acting in several scenes doesn't age well. Nor do the costume designs of the science staff.
Forbidden Planet: Leslie Nielson in on of his early serious roles. This is straight out of the golden age of 50s sci-fi.
M: Fritz Lang and Peter Lorre team up to bring you a fantastic detective mystery.
Army of Darkness: Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi. 'nuff said.
Tombstone: This movie is worth watching solely for Val Kilmer's performance. It seems crazy, but he completely steals this movie out from everyone else. It's such a shame the rest of his movies are such shit. Except maybe for Real Genius, but it's not one of my favorites.

Quoted again just because of the awesomeness. Rep given.
Just one thing... Val Kilmer was marvelous in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. ;)

Holy crap, a movie with Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer that I've never seen before? Must. Watch!
I don't watch many movies but recently I got a Netflix streaming account and have been watching some oldies from when I DID watch movies (rather than watching new ones, which is an interesting thing that I must examine about myself, lol).
I watched The Ghost and the Darkness tonight, which was okay. I enjoyed the African imagery and some of the period stuff, and Val Kilmer gave a good performance. Unfortunately I thought Michael Douglass was surprisingly awkward as a great hunter.
Last night I watched Tango & Cash and damn is that movie terrible! I remembered it being better when I was a kid, but isn't that the way it always goes? Even the action was pretty lame.
Couple days before that I watched Major League 2 and damn was that bad too... the original still holds up, I own it on Blu-Ray, but the sequel was just terrible... not as funny and it reused like every concept and set-piece and even the score.

Do it. You will thank me buddy. I LOVE that movie. Val Kilmer totally steals the show in that movie, but Robert Downey Jr. does one heckuva job too. The finger... Oh man.
I saw Being John Malkovich..my first Netflix movie. :)
Great mindfuck, especially if you liked Eternal Sunshine.
If you enjoy bad movies that you can laugh at, you HAVE to see The Room. Ridiculous story, ridiculous dialogue, ridiculous acting...a tour de force of cheez.

Saw Beck, the Movie (from Beck the manga). Excellent movie. All th actors are truly in their characters, are credible and man, you see they spent a hell lot of time practicing playing guitar and singing!! A truly great movie.

I just hope it gets released outside of Japan, even if it's only on DVD...
My wife and I watched the new Ridley Scott Robin Hood last night - I recommend it.

I also saw that. It's bizarre the things that happen in the movie, but it's funny. : P
Oh yeah, forgot to say, the new Karate Kid movie is good.
