I just watched 'Derailed' which is a late Jean-Claude Van Damme. Now I expected crap, but what I got was something -worse-
The thing is full of continuity errors and clearly broken dialogue. The premise is that Van Damme's lazily named character 'Jac' is transporting this woman on a train across a boarder because she's totally got the military after her or something. Add in his family, so he can't legitimately bang this chick, because clearly the director was pushing 'family values'
Then introduce eight new characters twelve minutes into the film who high jack the train to get their hands on some virus. Frankly that's all you need to know as the remaining 45 minutes of the 1 hour 20 film is filled with worrying terrible and muddled combat with guns which all make the same sound, automatic or not. Also the film has been cut in odd places to reduce its running time, so conversations no longer make sense as replies are given for questions which aren't even asked.
I wont go on, just watch it for free if you can; if you want to waste your time. I mean, I actually jumped out of my chair and shouted "WHAT?" at the screen when VD deliberately -ricocheted- a bullet shot at him off the front of his motorbike, which he was riding on top of a train, on the parallel track, going the opposite direction to the other train, into the leg of the enemy who fired at him.
Also watching an adult tipping ice down the top of a 13 year old girl to 'cool her down' was awkward, whatever the context was.
Need I say more?
