OldOldGamer: Every bethersda new game.... over and over again the same posts and complaints.
It is sufficient to change game title, and the posts still applies.

Wonderful.

synfresh: And yet people will still buy and play them because more times than not, their games are fun to play no matter what the title says. Most people could give a damn what 'Fallout' is supposed to be.
I'm all for gamers being more accepting of games that are not 99% perfect.

However this only seems to be OK when it comes to certain games made by certain developers and publishers. If it wasn't a Bethesda title Fallout 4 would have gotten 6/10 or 7/10 instead of 9/10 and 9.5/10.

For example why is it more acceptable for a Scrolls or Fallout game to be buggy and glitchy but not acceptable for an Assassin's Creed or Risen game ?

Instead we are encouraged by gaming media to look beyond the faults of a Bethesda release and see the fun of the gameplay. Its a shame mainstream gamers and media can't approached all games in the same forgiving manner.

he talks about this exactly. kinda makes sense. i think it's more b/c of how big the game is rather than morrowind, but eh, who knows?

SeduceMePlz: I haven't found any cowboy hats yet, but there's a yellow fedora. Looks sharp, wore it until I found an army helmet. Might switch back later, but the helmet is an extra 10 damage resistance iirc, and at lower levels practicality often beats looks for me. ;)

catpower1980: I'm all about "looks" in fact, that's why I'm just wearing jeans&t-shirt&aviator sunglasses (with some added light leather armor parts) for 80% of the game. It's a more interesting roleplay when you limit yourself in some ways (but hey, I can still use the power armors for a tough fight ^o^).
Don't come crying to me when some raider blows your head off. :P

jefequeso: Have you been storing your look in the workshop? I was storing everything in the workshop for awhile, but eventually it became to big a hassle to sort through everything when I wanted to switch to a different weapon etc. So now I just store junk at the workshop, and store important items on the floor. Seriously, it's actually way better. Just dump all your stuff on the floor of your house :D
Is the interface drastically different on PC than PS4? I have (probably literally) tons of stuff in the workshop storage at Sanctuary, but I'm not having any real problem with it... ? It could better, sure, but it doesn't seem especially terrible to me.

LOL, I tend to play carefully (ranger/rogue style) and I set the game on easy so I only die when I really fuck up (like today in the ArcJet Building where I pushed a button just to see what it does and it initiated a countdown, needless to say that I got an insta-death ^o^). At least the clothes on Cait don't matter as she's immortal and we make a cute (and deadly) lesbian couple together :o)

I agree.
Better safe than sorry.
I started on survival but I dropped to hard when there was that deathclaw power armor thing and I kinda have been sticking with hard.. I mean very hard and survival it just makes enemies too powerful and in the beginning you don't have too many bullets to waste.

I haven't gone the story far, exploring and stuff, still, fun game and I also like to look somewhat stylish because I like to use much that third person view.

Not sure if it's any different, actually.

started on normal and then restarted a bit later with a higher intel stat and punished myself for the restart by increasing the difficulty. Seems like a good difficulty level to me, and more legendary enemies = more legendary loot, so can't complain there :)

Still, you are having fun and then.. inventory is full. damnit! Freaking junk then you are in workbench 2 hours and can't do shit because your tapes and glues are missing. *puts in power armor and minigun* "you made me do this" *then realizes that they will not die.* *continues adventuring with inventory screen in calmly manner eyes twitching*

son of a pip-boy..

If you want to get back to survival, I could suggest this mod which helps prevent the damage nerf you get (totally illogical):

Only thing that I actually kinda wondered that if you take some limb damage.. you will just limb a bit and then you are not if I remember right you had to actually heal those limbs before it got better in 3. I mean I miss that my face is blurry for having head damage.. It kinda sucks that it automaticly heals.

Edit: If I did come unprepared i should pay for it with horrible limb damages.. also it should be that you could have your other arm teared of and use just one handed weapons. =P

I like voice acting but those are pretty simple options. Still i'm totally immersed in that world when I play it. It's not the prettiest or whatever but I like it. There are some things it could do better. also I never finished skyrim and it seems that fall 4 takes a lot of time also. It's not a bad thing but still it's prob good to play some other games once in a while.

Played a few hours into the game so far, I need to play a lot more before I can give an honest impression.

Anyway, I turned off Vsync which makes the game look a million times smoother on my TV, but is it a common bug that the main menu selector moves too fast when Vsync is off?

If you just started and you have some stuttering try borderless window also what you asked i've read that it's good to keep that 60 fps cap on because otherwise it can go haywire..

I'm usually playing it alright with 2 gig gtx 760 but sometimes there are some stutters and mostly what I know, shadow lenght and godrays when you put them like in medium it will boost things a lot.. but i've seen games work better in my machine and i hope they will make some patches.

catpower1980: Is there a cowboy hat in the game? I'm trying to make the same kind of outfit than in New Vegas
There's several versions of fedoras like the Battered Fedora or the Silver Shroud hat, though all more 1930+ style. What comes closest to a cowboy hat is probably the Milita hat (Minutemen I think).
