Crewdroog: yeah that's why they put VATs in the new fallouts. however, it's just not my thing. it annoys me like musicals annoy me. People just don't spontaneously break into song and choreographed dance (ok, well flash mobs maybe).
Bc of turn-based combat, I could not play the first fallouts. I tried, but I just couldn't.
nightcraw1er.488: Never used VATS on either F3 or Vegas, just felt like cheating. Just play it as a FPS. That being said, they were pretty average. I expect F4 will be Skyrim with guns, and that was pretty bland, empty space, short naff storyline, but great for modding, those people who provide the game, and this will be over DRM'd, paid mods, etc.
i totally agree with you on vats. I always play it as a fps. I really hope you are wrong, and that has better content than Skyrim. I often compared that game to a pretty, but vapid girl/guy. Fun to look at, but just no content.
EDIT: Mind you, I've also played hundreds of hours of that game, so yeah, still liked it.
Also, b/c it is bethesda, I am not expecting some great main storyline. I will probably pretty much ignore that until i start running out of things to do. I like to just wander around and find random things and quests and steal everything that isn't nailed down.
Crewdroog: [...] Also, for poops and giggles, I might do a twitch of me playing the game, b/c why not, everyone else will be.
HunchBluntley: If you do, make sure and say words like "pop" a lot. =)
ok everytime I see a nuka cola i will say "oh look, maybe i'll go get a pop!" in my horrible accent. :)
oh, and totally random, but i was watching old family guys and totally came across the moose.
Crewdroog: ok, let me go find another duckie flotilla. go wait by the sea for the package :)
Sachys: by the time that gets here, I WILL be dead!
*ponders* fine, I will send them via trebuchet! I will also add a cow to ensure they arrive safely. And a cat to keep the cow company.
