No, Haven't bought it and probably won't... at least for 2-4 years

Crosmando: I think I'd rather masturbate with sandpaper than play "Fallout" 4.

monkeydelarge: What is wrong with an interactive movie about a concerned father looking for his child? :P
[Intelligence] I'm looking for my father. Middle-aged guy. Maybe you've seen him?

I no see you daddy. Let me ask Grampy Bone. Okay, he ask you who is your daddy and what does he do?

wpegg: I would, but I heard Bethesda have pulled out their usual standard of quality. Anyone that doesn't wait at least 3 months for a Bethesda game to be hardened by the loyal fans / muggins is asking for trouble.

monkeydelarge: Bethesda's thoughts = Why spend money on beta testers when you have customers who are willing to test the game for free.
Not only for free, they actually pay to be beta testers.

I already tried a "demo version" to see if i like it and i'll pass. It seems it's even worse then F3, which is an achievement when you think of it.

It seems like they tried very hard to "streamline" the game for mainstream people.

Not to burst the bubble of the moment, but sources say the game is "buggy as shit" (Quoting TB from the recent Co-optional), which isn't surprising because all Bethesda games are buggy when they come out...

Gersen: But as a Fallout fan so I will probably play Wasteland 2, the closest thing to a real Fallout sequel,
You'll be disappointed if you are expecting it to be anywhere similar to F1 and F2. It's not and doesn't even pretend to be,

But anyhoo, what comes to Fallout 4, I'll check it when it hits the sales. All I've read of it sounds very disappointing.

In first few hours i've encountered numerous graphical glitches ranging from minor to disturbing (like female npc in a vault with her skirts turned upwards - she wasn't wearing underwear btw), so it's business as usual. I keep wondering why Bethesda gets away with this, while Obsidian recieved shitstorm of the century when New Vegas came out. Different standards i suppose.

The thing is I understand folks who dig this game. I really do. For me though, with so many fantastic games around like Witcher 3, this one is just stupid and immature. I can't get past Bethesda's childish writing.

From what I have seen so far Fallout 4 is dumbed down F3, with even worse dialogues. Given that Fallout 3 was bland and tasteless rubbish for me, I think I'll pass.

It is more than just buggy as shit. The game makes Fallout 3 look like a masterpiece that should be put on a pedestal for all gamers to worship for the next ten thousand years. ..

I think the best description for Fallout 4 is one I read in some review : "It's a much better FPS that Fallout 3"

If you want a competent action/adventure FPS with some slight RPG elements, and sandboxy thingy, set in the Fallout universe then Fallout 4 is for you and is actually quite good at that.

But if you expect a genuine sequel of F1 or F2 or even New Vegas.... then run away!

amrit9037: I am waiting for Fallout 4 on GOG
This and I still have to play though New Vegas...

Edit:
And I'm not going to pay more than 20 bottle caps for a GOTY Edition.

I think I'll be skipping F4 and getting the expansion pass for The witcher 3. That sounds pretty sensible, doesn't it?
