Bugger - I'm pretty sure it'll be worth trying again in the future though. Quite a few of my old retail game keys are now valid on steam (DoW, Total War Series etc), along with a bunch of stuff GFWL is being / has been removed from it seems.
ill try again "soon"

might as well reinstall fallout 3 goty though now i found it again
F3 runs fine on my Win7.
I guess your problem is more that you try it on your laptop (without a seperate graphic card).
Try this soloution: (Step 7 is yours)

I still wish GOG could get a deal with Bethesda/Zeni. Wouldn't it be nice to get Fallout 1/2 back and have Fallout 3/NV as well?

New Vegas i would definitely want to see on here. 3 looks interesting, but New Vegas, despite some issues, looks really good and more like Fallout 2, for good reasons.

and dont follow step 2
and if you do DONT tell the app to move your dlc
it will do this

I strongly caution against using this. Disabling GFWL made my game crash (even after installing GFWL again, etc.), and it also moved every .bik, .esp, .esm, and .bsa file from my ENTIRE STEAM DIRECTORY into the Fallout 3 folder. Needless to say I've had to remove upwards of 70gb of games, mods, and save files, as well as reinstall Steam for good measure, all because the guy who made this didn't even bother warning people that "Move DLCs" breaks every Bethesda game and any game that had .bik files. The Disable GFWL feature itself works well enough, but do not, REPEAT, DO NOT, EVER, EVER, EVER CLICK MOVE DLCS. Ever. <<

Yes, that would be very nice.

I think NV is a better game mechanically and many other ways, but I prefer the bleakness and hopelessness of the wasteland in Fallout 3.

I'm replaying Fallout 1 as an evil character at the moment. Not really relevant, except to say that I love this whole series :D

Why does a Fallout game have to look like Fallout 2? Talk about living in the past!

Never mind the invisible walls, game breaking bugs, crashes, stutter and pops? Mechanics are fine, but the game is just bad!

I wish so too!

I have boxed copies of both the org release and the GOTY, but it seems like too much hassle to get either one going for a replay. If GOG had it then the hassles would be gone :)
Fallout 3 was cool when it came out, but I could not play it after New Vegas came out.

New Vegas actually felt like a fallout game to me.

Fallout 3 gets the wackiness award though. There is nothing in WW trait that can compare to fallout3s lack of trees and plants 200+ years after the war lol.

Though F3 doesnt have the line "take drugs - kill a bear!"

The tone of New Vegas was more in line with the others.

So? Surely you don't want to play the same thing over and over? That would get boring, saying that so did staring at the endless desert in New vegas.
