War. War never changes.

And it all began with these famous words.

25 years ago, in October of 1997 first post-nuclear world of the legendary Fallout franchise emerged from its shelter, full of memorable characters, irradiated monstrosities and impactful conversations that made their undeniable impact on the history of RPG games.

To celebrate this anniversary we’d like to take you on a quick stroll into the past and remind ourselves of some of the most memorable and iconic moments that took place throughout , [url=https://www.gog.com/game/fallout_2]Fallout 2, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. And if you haven't yet played this cult-classics (shame!) or don’t yet own a copy on GOG - make sure to rectify this mistake immediately as we’ve prepared Special Sale for these masterpieces.

Let’s start our memory journey, shall we? (Spoilers ahead!)

Fallout (-75% off) - Meeting the Master

Few of the video games villains are as well written as this leader of the super mutant army - The Master. As part of the main questline in the original 1997’s Fallout, our character, the Vault Dweller, must venture into the abandoned Vault-Tec prototype vault. After battling mutants all along the way we eventually come face to face with grotesque monstrosity that is the game's primary antagonist. From his bizarre, flesh-twisted-with-computer appearance and multiple voices to revelation of his grim goal of creating a new race from humanity using Forced Evolutionary Virus this encounter remains the most memorable in the whole gaming history. Can’t wait to meet this fella again!

Fallout 3 (-67% off) - First step into the Capital Wasteland and Blowing up Megaton

Come on… this has to be on that list. After exploring the amazing, post-apocalyptic worlds of the first two entries in the series, the time has come to finally see its nuclear beauty in 3D. And the third game narrative prepares as perfectly for this moment. After we start quite literally by being born, we then get acquainted with the comforts of Vault 101. From first steps as a baby, to school tests, to our tenth birthday party in the Vault’s cafeteria and shooting roaches, to taking the G.O.A.T exam and getting bullied by Tunnel Snakes. And it all comes down to this one, iconic and beautiful moment - coming out of the Vault, leaving underground life behind and embarking on an adventure into the vast, unknown world while still struggling to adjust to the sunlight. It’s perfect, really.

Fallout: New Vegas (-67% off) - The Great Journey

And last but definitely not the least - finale of Come Fly With Me quest in Fallout: New Vegas. Absolutely bizarre, unique and beautiful moment between Courier and a group of bold and inspired ghouls on a mission. At the REPCONN test site our character meets ghoul Jason Bright who is the leader of a religious faction known as Bright Brotherhood. Their main goal? To complete The Great Journey - launching themselves in a space vessel and travelling to a new world in the hope of finding a better future beyond Earth. Jason's speech, the view, the music - everything there is just iconic.

Was hoping Fallout 4 was released even if they did the same as Skyrim release the game of the year version and have creation club content seperate and have nothing in the main menu for mods of creation club.

To be honest Fallout 4 is a poor fallout game but it is an enjoyable exploration game witha lot to see and the settlement building aspect is interesting.

Oh well Have all the other Fallout games and Skyrim will keep me busy till 4 comes out.
I too hope that we will get Fallout 4 here eventually. I've got the rest of the franchise already. X3
It's a missed opportunity that Fallout 4 wasn't released today here.
No Fallout 4? Now I am a bit disappointed

Hell yeah. Still glad I could claim those in 2013 with all of the extras...

TheCleaner517: This was done in bad taste. This sale along Fallout 4 would've been better, especially since Skyrim was released last week. Got my hopes up for nothing.
You got Skyrim and you're still asking for more? Jesus. Have some patience, dude.

I hope you are being ironic, here.

TheCleaner517: But it was a Vault Boy image from Fallout 4 before that screen shot. Someone probably just let the cat out of the bag, atleast im hoping anyway. lol
Well, I believe few months ago they were advertising some Bethesda or whatever sale with Doom 2016 art and people were making all the theories, so I wouldn't hope too much.
Yes, and 15 years ago bethesda acquired rights to Fallout franchise and regrettably destroyed it forever!

I hate you bethesda, from the bottom of my heart and will do so until the day I die!

Well seeing as how GoG is always supposed to add MORE to their store, then yes.

Also Skyrim just came here last week. After that people, literally the same day, were wanting Fallout 4 to come soon. Then GoG pulls this FALLOUT sale without Fallout 4 literally a week after Skyrim launches?

That's called bad taste, unless they are teasing something. However, until it's revealed that maybe Fallout 4 is just around the corner, this week maybe due to this sale, it's still in bad taste.

Weird how I had to explain it, thought it was easy common sense.

Not when it was forum members calling for Fallout 4, without any input from GoG that anything of the sort was ever going to happen...

Why would GoG resort to notifying anyone on the forums that any highly anticipated game was coming here? Literally when Skyrim was released and Diablo, GoG blues stated that it was hard keeping those games a SECRET....

They wouldn't, and I never said they would. But you (and others) are so disappointed that Fallout 4 has not been released, here, today, when a 25th Anniversary sale for the Fallout franchise has been announced. But then accuse GoG of teasing you ?. In what way are they doing that ?, when no Fallout 4 shaped carrot was dangled in front of anyone, other than assumptions. Or is it just another excuse to whine, whinge and moan, even though we've had quite a number of good releases so far these couple of weeks ?.
